[Friend]

Ody has been his best friend from the start. He couldn't imagine a timeline where he wasn't there. They fought, hunted, played, together since both cats opened their eyes! He does notice how much he's changed though as they got older. Once loose and aloof Ody now always has a looming dark cloud over him and never plays anymore... not without a bit of convincing, which Polites is very good at! He has to remind him that not everyone is a threat and its okay to relax and roll over to enjoy the moment.

Eurylochus #9269

[Friend]

All three of them have known each other for years, and he sees Eurylochus as much of a friend as Odysseus. They all have their skeletons in the closet, this is no different.

Polites admires him for his bravery. It is impressive how quickly he can jump into a fight without a second thought. Eurylochus is powerful in many ways and it makes him even more glad the yggdravixen is on their side.

Telemachus #9404

[Spirit Kit]

He was given the highest honor to be at Telemachus' weaving, the one chosen to carry the kit to the root of Yggdrasil and present him to the elder Yggdravixen. The ritual has him binded to the kit as his Spirit Guardian and he takes his job very seriously! He will fight for him, help him train and teach him all he knows of the vast world around them. Telemachus has taken every word Polites had told him to heart and follows the same worldviews.

He was delighted to be reunited with him, as devastating as it was to fight and kill a final time to truly feel safe. They were glad to see each other come out of the carnage unharmed.

Odysseus had told him to stay put, so he took a nap. His legs were tired from their trek anyways he could use the break.

She caught him by surprise making all sorts of odd noises. He wasn't sure what Celeste was alerting and was ready to claw at whatever it was that scared her... then he realized it was him who had startled her and she was doing all of that stomping and snoting because of him. Oops!

She smiled wickedly as felvargs, nattnkatts, and yggdravixen were consumed by her many heads. She enjoyed their screams, licked her lips at the bloodshed. Polites nearly got snatched off of the boat himself. He froze under one of the beasts glowing yellow eyes... The next thing he knew he was launched, flipping in the air grabbing for whatever he could in terror of plummeting into hongerige and a felvarg had taken his place in the beasts maw. He wouldn't forget their face as they died and surely will never forget Scylla's toothed smile ether.

They found her in the woods, inviting the crew to rest and eat within her den. It was the biggest den he'd ever seen! It fit everyone inside. Eurylochus didn't go in though and Polites picked up the reason once everyone got turned into pigs.

It had been a test of intention. Did he pass? he didn't get piggied! She was kind to him but sour toward the rest of the men. Polites enjoyed sitting and talking to her nymphs, they were shy but sweet once he showed them he meant no harm.

He wasn't concerned, not in any immediate danger and knowing Odysseus would be here to get them back, he always comes back for them!

Since the hunting incident, since the war, Polites has dedicated himself to Odysseus. It just felt right, in an odd way...

He may have learned much later of the terrible path his friend would be set on if he broke under the pressure; The monster that'd wear the crown once Odysseus returned if Polites perished under the wrath of Polyphemus.

He shared the same dream with Odysseus during the weaving ritual that sealed their eternal bond.
