Lead by the brave and powerful Nar, the Faegir clan is made up of well seasoned warriors and battlemasters big and small. Faegir has it all, brains, brawn and rustic good lucks as well as a mean knowledge for all imaginable weapons. Nar instills within his band of Felvargs that war is not to be feared, nor is it to be glorified; it is simply to be expected and it is his given duty to prepare those who will listen to what he believes is the inevitable. The warrior king opens his arms to any willing to prepare themselves for disputes to come, those who embrace the fact that war made them the beasts they are today. Nar believes he needs to prepare himself and his loyal clan for an upcoming war in which the blood curse placed upon them by the spiteful God Loki will be broken, returning them to their true human forms. Surely this is just a myth, but it is something the clan believe in strongly.
  • "Strength is all well and good, but a Felvarg should also know how to lose graciously. Prove to me you can lose and still be respectful."

  • Nar nods you over eagerly, "You there!" His voice is stern and confident, "We have been tasked with tracking a beast across the pond, but this particular beast has a keen scent. It will smell us a mile off." Nar seems to take a moment to ponder, "Fetch us some Garlic and a Mortar Bowl, this should help us mask our scent."

  • You see Nar pacing upon the shoreline tasking Felvargs to return supplies to a nearby ship that has been damaged. This particular ship is used to scout the local shores for approaching dangers. Eagerly you approach him, and eagerly Nar provides you with a list of necessary parts to aid in the ship's repair. Bring the parts Nar needs to him and hopefully increase his trust in you.

  • The frigid nights close in and Nar will not standby as his pack battles the cold unprepared. Other Felvargs may whimper away from such a task but Nar believes his clan is more than capable of such a challenge. Everyfel within his ranks has contributed to the chilling grip of winter. It seems he expects no different from you based on how he studies you curiously before the campfire. Traverse the lands in search of three Heavy Hides to contribute to Nar and the clan you hope someday to be respected within.

  • Nar walks beside you as each step he takes beams with pride, he never makes eye contact with you but still his words burn right through you, "We are many, Friend. Strong, prepared, and strategic if nothing else." You trot a few beats to keep up with Nar's confident stride, "There are traps surrounding the village, but we dare not supply them with meat we have gathered to feed our own. These parts are not safe to those who travel alone and so there is plenty of rotten meat to use as bait instead." Nar had a good point. Nar asks you to obtain five rotten meat scraps, so that you can spring Faegir's traps.

  • You see Nar and a few other Felvargs huddled together as they debate fluidly. They are speaking of a Felvarg named Ovkar and Nar seems to believe this very Felvarg who has not been seen for hundreds of years once commanded an ancient and revered war beast known as Orvar. As an outsider your worth seems to be challenged more so than most, "Rumors say he used a walking stick and without it the beast Orvar would defy him," Nar narrows his eyes curiously at you, "They say it's top is carved in the shape of a dragon wielding the power Ovkar used to command Orvar. Surely you've heard of this story given it originates from your homeland?" You have a sudden moment of realization, you have seen this very walking stick for sale within The Clay Carriage in Sandfel. Real or fake bring Nar this ultimate gift to attempt to earn his favor. Even if you were raised to see it as a mere campfire story.

  • You trot into camp and you are immediately met with chaos, hellhounds have arranged an attack in an attempt to steal resources Nar and his pack had gathered. Taken by surprise but equally equipped to handle such a strike, Nar takes on 3 large hellhounds in the camp's center and despite being a mere dwarf he handles his own. Just as Nar wards off two of the beasts the third sneaks up on him, as Nar turns it is far too late to react but you find the bravery to leap between the two and kick the hellhound disrupting his blow upon Nar. Nar is impressed by your bravery, and for the first time he lowers his head to you in thanks. What an honor to have Nar bow before you, it takes you a moment but then you realize the entire clan too has lowered their heads in respect. You most definitely impressed Nar today.

  • Nar notices you sat before the campfire as you take a moment to yourself. He approaches you with pride and honor as he places his figure beside you, “You’ve proven to be a worthy asset to Faegir.” Nar waves a paw daringly over the bursting flames as they roar before the two of you, “To really be a part of Faegir and respected by Faegir you must first be comfortable traversing our home, Jormundandr, alone.” Nar places a leather parchment holder beside you without making contact, “In the northern most parts of this Island you will find a hut erected in isolation. Deliver this package there and then return with the package you’ll find waiting for you on the doorstep.” Nar stands up and turns to walk away from you, but not without first leaving you with one last slice of advice, “I wouldn’t knock if I were you fel, even us war dwellers know when not to pick a fight.”

  • “Tea is not just for steeping Fel,” Nar walks alongside you as he demands your attention, “It's also an anti-inflammatory and more times than not it has saved my life.” Nar pauses to glance at you curious if the expression on your face is one of confusion or disbelief. “Us Faegir never pass up any form of tea bush, regardless of its origin they all share their healing properties you see.” Nar continues to walk now as his words tapir off, “You would be wise to do the same and should you find yourself with it in abundance, well our stock could always use another pawful.”

  • You recall the campfire stories Faegir had spoken of Isa during your time spent alongside them. A shadow in even the darkest of nights they said. The greatest assassin Faegir had ever hired others repeated. So when you see Isa sitting alongside a lake near the shores of Jormungandr you cannot help but strike up a conversation with her. The female seems submissive and rather tame given the stories you had been told, but it doesn’t take the conversation long for Isa to disclose she put that life behind her. After you show interest in her trade Isa insists she can share with you a valuable trick. 7 Letters - stealth and Isa swears by it.

  • “There are just not enough arrows!” Nar snaps at a fletcher that seems agitated with him. Both Nar and the fletcher fix their gaze to you as you begin to approach. Nar swiftly welcomes you, “Just the Felvarg for the job.” Confused, you catch the fletcher's eye as Nar swipes at a measly bundle of arrows. “The archers are in need of more arrows for our practice sessions tomorrow, however we are low on supplies for making arrowheads.” The fletcher quickly steps in, “I want to experiment which material will create the most successful and impactful blow, could you bring me different types of antlers to tamper with?”

  • “Are you one to understand magic?” Nar asks in a gruff tone. He gestures for you to follow him towards a cauldron. “Potions are not something I typically welcome into my practice, but a peculiar recipe has caught my eye,” Nar’s voice comes in a hush. “Bring me a Strange Potion so that I may compare it to this new recipe I have found. It may just give us an advantage when we need it.”

  • Nar growls under his breath as he shuffles through various tickets that appear to be from Varglotto. “Can you make sense of these? My couriers in Ulfheim brought them to me with the promise of great fortune,” he furrows his brows as he pushes the tickets your way. His aggravation quickly turns to curiosity as you explain. “A gamble you say?” Nar smirks slyly, “Could you get me more of these? Let us see what they can really be worth.”

  • “The pelt of a fox has many uses,” Nar explains as he guides you towards the pelt storage. He runs a paw along several fox pelts hanging to dry. “Do not underestimate their size. Weave them for emergency warmth on a harsh night, use the fur to craft a quiver for arrows,” Nar continued to elaborate. “All of which can give us great advantage, onefel cannot be too careful to have a readily available supply.” He watches you carefully inspect the pelts, as he then peaks your interest with a task, “Collect a few pelts of your own and show me how they can provide for you.”

  • A courier had recently left one of Faegir’s camps with a package meant to be delivered to an ally in Ulfrheim. The courier was meant to board a boat departing from the shores of Thunderfold Bay, the package stamped as urgent. It wasn’t until now that Nar had been alerted that the courier in question had retrieved the wrong package. The right package was still tucked within Faegir’s mail room. Nar happens upon you and seems relieved to see you, he explains the confusion and asks that you take the right package and intercept the courier at Thunderfold Bay. Once you locate the courier, Nar asks you to exchange the packages in question and return the incorrect package back to camp unscathed. He is sure to tell you not to open the package, a sense of worry lingering in his tone.

  • Nar walks alongside you as the two of you pace the perimeters of one of Faegir’s camps. The dead of night had set hold on Jormungandr and mostfel had fallen into a slumber. This alone time with Nar had given the two of you time to bond and share a war story or two. Nar spoke of a great beast that often protects the forests of nearby camps under the control of Faegir. He explains the beast is mute and hasn’t spoken a word for ages, explains how mostfel say they see this curious creature staring at the moon night after night, and then declares he feels as though the beast is in need of aid. “No beast protecting our camps is a beast at all.” Nar proclaimed, “It is our job to soothe it.” Nar believes the beast is moonblind and equally believes an item can be procured to help alleviate the beasts discomfort. He tasks you with finding such a cure.

  • Do you wish to challenge your strength as a seasoned warrior? Your body may be ready, but how about your mind? Your spirit must not be broken and must remain as sharp as the weapon you wield. Fail or succeed, Nar has requested you put both your body and mind to the test. “Head to the deepest reaches and locate the Underbelly,” he snarls. “There you will be stripped of any advantage you may have over your opponent. Fight with every instinct you have. Be cunning and observe your enemies every move. I will be watching.” Nar nods approvingly as he watches you stand proudly on steady paws, ready for the challenge.

  • “Masking one's own scent is vital when it comes to a stealthy attack,” Nar lectured as the two of you hang your bodies low to the earth in a stealthy demonstration. “Nofel would smell you coming no matter the direction, downwind or upwind. A foul smell will elude our enemies from discovering us.” Nar quickly dropped his body to the ground and gestured for you to do the same. In a hushed voice, Nar rasps, “That is why I asked you to bring such a rancid thing you see,” Nar declared as you scrunch your nose.

  • You must accept assistance even from the smallest of creatures. “It is not easy to spread word during the heat of battle. We must adapt and find ways to deliver a message while going unnoticed.” Nar swiftly turns his attention to a cage covered in pelts. A toothy grin spread across his face as he flung the cage door open wide. With an ear splitting screech, a hawk flew from the cage and soured high into the sky. In a blink, the hawk was gone. A few heartbeats go by when suddenly the hawk swoops down and plucks at the fur on your neck. Bewildered, you look around to find that the hawk now held a letter tightly clutched within its talons. “Our feathered friends can carry urgent messages for us. During battle, nofel is going to tip their heads to the sky when an enemy is lunging at them.” Nar takes the letter from the hawk and looks to you eagerly, “Let us raise more of these hawks, I have allies that would favor a trade for one.”

  • One must always pay their dues. Nar has requested a meeting with you and by the tone of the messenger, it appeared to be rather urgent. As you rush into the heart of Faegir, Nar quickly flags you down, gesturing for you to follow him. “Listen young warrior, I have come across an invaluable find, I must get my paws on it before the other Clan leaders can.” Nar pauses to ponder for a moment, “The allies of Faegir must come together.” Nar did not disclose with you what he intended to spend your Felcredits on, but given you are trying to gain his trust you feel a contribution to Faegir could not hurt.

  • Muscle and strategy are two things that in the clan of Faegir are found in abundance. When it comes to medicinal or spiritual know how however, well Faegir relies on the knowledge of its allies. Nar is as successful as he is because he knows how to play to his strengths. “I know not where to procure these stones,” Nar questions, “But perhaps you can find a resource that might lend aid given your skills?” Nar seems lost in thought, “If you can bring me 2x Opal Pieces it would be most helpful.” Nar has been told about the powers these very gemstones hold, and he wishes to explore and attempt to harness their power to benefit his clan.

  • “We cannot go unnoticed by everyfel, even the most vigilant can be caught off guard and ambushed,” Nar whispers back to you as you follow closely behind him. Light on your paws, you creep as quietly as your body would allow you, careful to follow Nars instruction. A shiver runs down your spine as you have a suspicion you’re being watched. Pausing to gain a sense of your area, you close your eyes and tip your nose to smell your surroundings. As you look ahead, you're taken aback to see that Nar had slipped away unnoticed. On your own now, you are clearly put to the test. You keep your form low and your breathing shallow, but your hackles raise in alarm as bushes twitch from behind. Before you can reel around to inspect the noise, it’s too late.

  • You must learn to utilize the weapons you already have, even if they have been damaged. In dire situations readily available weapons may be scarce. “You have learned how to forge a weapon, but do you know how to repair the damaged pieces?” Nar smirks as he drops a pile of rubble at your paws. Pieces of shields, swords, and various other supplies lay damaged and nearly unrecognizable. “The spoils of war aren’t always so pretty, but you can make something of it,” Nar looks amongst the rubble with hungry eyes. Nar requests that you join him in repairing these weapons to restore them to their former glory. “First, we will need to hunt down the proper tools. Return to me once you have acquired some supplies.”

  • Smoke billowed out from the forges just ahead. The heat of the building hit your muzzle as you peered in from the doorway. Through the loud clangs of a hammer hitting steel, you hear Nar speaking to a blacksmith, “Stonewall has given word that he will supply us with weapons for a share of ours. He wants to open a trade with us.” The large blacksmith threw his gaze over his shoulder at the supplies that stacked along a great stone wall. “To open a trade would require a great amount of resources.” Suddenly, you see Nar gazing in your direction. Compelled to step paw into the forge, you are greeted with swift nods from the blacksmiths. “I want you to find ore for us, locate a steady supply we can depend on. If you will, bring my blacksmith's different types so that we may test what will yield the best results before we lay claim to the supply.”

  • Nar slammed a hammer down upon a greatsword as you walked into the forge after having been called to join him. You respectfully watch from a distance as sparks fly from the clang of metals. “Our forges are filled with metals,” Nar raised his voice so that you could hear him as he continued to hammer. Happy with his own work, he steps back away from the forge to allow you to step forward in his place. “It is time you show me the craft at your own paw. One must be skilled in various occupations when climbing the ranks,” Nar nods towards the forge. “Especially if it seems as though the skill in question is a challenge to you.”

  • The words of our ancestors carry through the generations, tales by the fire are vital to keep their legacies alive. A bonfire is being hosted in honor of the tales the island has grown up learning. As the flames of the bonfire lick the night sky and each Felvarg has been given the chance to speak, soon all eyes land on you. Ansuz nods her head gently and asks what victories or plagues hold your past. “Come now, what shall you be known for?”

  • “The woods of Jormungandr are not for the thin pelted, only the experienced can safely traverse the harsh terrain,” Nar growls as he begins to pack vital supplies into a satchel. Once satisfied with the contents of the satchel, Nar snatches up a letter clutched beneath several survival guides. Nar grumbles to himself as he gives it a quick read before quickly slipping it into your bag and securely tying it off. “New recruits are to dock at our shores tonight. That letter states their names and their occupations within our Clan.” Nar looks at you through a hardened gaze, “ I need you to guide them through the woods of Jormungandr, ensure a safe return and teach them everything you know. First impressions are crucial, be wise and meet me at the forest edge unscathed.”

  • Keeping an open trade with those who are our allies is vital. Connections make us stronger and prepare the clan thoroughly for war. Nar can be seen counting the stock within the forges as Blacksmiths hover over him anxiously. With an angry snap of his jaws, Nar pushes his way through the crowd and emerges near you. “Our metal supplies are low, this will not do,” Nar slams his parchment down on a table. “My miners were supposed to make a delivery yesterday evening, but I just got word that we are exhausting the supplies.” Nar furrowed his brows as he contemplated his options. “Would you go out and locate some supplies for me to deliver to our allies? We cannot afford to lose this connection!”

  • Failure is not the end of your road to success. One must learn to accept their losses and come to realize the path it takes to succeed and grow stronger. Honoring the winner is a strength of its own. “Respect those who are your successor, for they have partaken in their own journey to reach that goal,” Nar growls with a stern look. “Spar with your fellow warriors. Fight until your breath is merely heaving, push as hard as you can until the fight is given.”

  • Nar circles you slowly, his gaze steady. You see that his hackles prick with interest as he sizes you up. Nar is curious if you are going to partake in Tournament and should you come out victorious in a battle head to head with another Felvarg brave enough to participate in Tournament.. Well he would be most impressed.

  • Word quickly spreads of orders to conduct a raid on Bandits who have been nothing but trouble for the Clans. Felvargs can be seen running around the camp in preparation. A rather large titan nearly topples you over as he rushes to grab weapons from the armory. You quickly slither to get out of the way of flowing members from the great halls. Without looking where you were going, you nearly crash into Nar. With a roar he urges you back to your paws and shoves you in the direction of a blacksmith, “Gather gear, it is time we put an end to the bandits who terrorize our Clan!” As you return prepped with all that you could need, you see Nar standing high above a growing crowd. With a voice that displays his strength and courage, Nar loudly proclaims, “Too much of Faegir blood has spilled at the paws of these bandits! Ready yourselves for a battle, their crimes end tonight!”

  • With the training and experience you have gained, you stand proudly amongst other seasoned warriors. You all share a look of hunger, awaiting more duties to fulfill. You have spent enough time with the clan to get your paws set on the right path, you are ready for an assessment of strength and determination. “The buffalo is not one to take lightly,” Nar snarls. “Stubborn and hardy, this beast will do what it takes to ensure its survival, even if it means sacrificing itself for the success of the herd. It will not go down without a fight.” Nar rests his gaze on each of the warriors standing before him. “Prove yourself worthy to me, take down three grand buffalo and return their pelts to me unscathed.”

  • With war comes death, everyfel must know this. As creatures exposed to such a violent world, war comes at a cost. Navigating onefels feelings to digest this loss varies from Felvarg to Felvarg, and no twofel will mourn the same. To approach the resting place of somefel you have come to know who has now passed will be no easy challenge. Not for the bravest or weakest of warriors. Even still it is a challenge every warrior must overcome. Nar knows this death and loss more than most, every Felvarg from his clan is treated as nothing shy of family, no matter when they meet their end. You are no difference, friend of Nar.

  • With War must come Peace. With the efforts of both clans briefly united, pups have been rescued from a village that had undergone a vicious attack from bandits. Now resting under the care of Jera and her clan, the pups are in desperate need of supplies to ease their discomfort. Nar has called to you to collect Old Teddy Bears as an offering. Now that the dust has settled and the battle is over, you find Nar with a solemn face, “I do not have the heart to meet Jera face to face with a haul of Teddy Bears, I want no part of it. However, please tell her they are from me, will you? Even a warrior must know when to show compassion.”

  • Nar can be seen directing a hunting party at the edge of the Faegir territory. Upon seeing you, he gestures for you to join him. Turning to address the party, Nar snarls with great concern, “Knowing the prey of the island is rather important. Keeping the clan fed will keep our minds sharp and our bodies ready. However, it has come to my attention that a disease has swept across a few species of prey that we source from. We must figure out what sources have been infected so that we do not fall ill.” Nar then turns to you, “I want you to join my hunting party and find the skulls of each type of prey we source so we can determine the cause of death. Heed caution when handling the remains. We will act accordingly depending on your findings.”

  • An urgent message has reached your ears to meet with Nar immediately. As you breach the threshold of his quarters, he can be seen mumbling low to Bleza. The creak of the door behind you catches their attention and Nar quickly urges you in, “Bleza has given word of enemies who plan to trek through our woods in a few days time.” A deep growl escaped his throat as he slammed a paw down, “I will not allow this trespassing! Now that we have the upper paw, we can prepare traps to capture them.” Bleza quickly chimes in, “I know of a brilliant trap that has yet to fail, however I need the supplies to construct it. Acquire them for me and we can construct it together.”

  • Nar keenly tends to a fire, a large cast iron pot perched neatly on a metal grate inches above the licking flames. His right ear flicks in your direction, taking notice of your presence. He beacons you forward, “There is more than honing your skills for battle, onefel must also tend to their body. For a hungry Felvarg can not focus in the heat of battle where one small mistake can cost you everything.” With a glace down to the fire, you notice the pot before him was empty barring a small pat of butter that had partially melted, “Do not hesitate, bring me eggs from the coops so that we may feed ourselves and avoid a rather unfortunate end.”

  • Bleza hovers over a round table where a sea of papers can be seen spread about before her. Across the table sat Nar, his eyes sternly focused on Bleza, “When will the barricades be ready?” he impatiently snapped. Bleza shuffled through the papers, singling one out of the hoard and sliding it towards Nar, “This is the best design out of all of them, but I can not complete it without the proper resources and metal is becoming quite scarce.” Nar snarled in response as he considered what actions to take. Both of them took notice of you as the conversation lulled and Nar summoned you forward, “I must ask you for another favor my friend.” Nar declared.

  • The sharp clang of metal hitting metal can be heard coming from an arena at the heart of the Clan of Faegir. Your ears follow the alluring sound to find several Felvargs sparring with one another while Ehwaz snarls commands and tactics. Amongst the clamor and dust is a lone Felvarg who is eagerly awaiting a worthy opponent. Ehwaz gazes in your direction with a glint in his eyes. “Go on then!” Ehwaz roars over the crowd as they erupt in equal excitement. You enter the arena and another Felvarg throws you a great axe/sword. Without warning your combatant charges at you.

  • “One must understand how to use their resources,” Ehwaz spoke as he closely inspected some damaged weaponry laid upon his table. “Do you think weapons will always be readily available in the thick of war? Of course not, so we use what we have,” Ehwaz snapped as he finished organizing various pieces of scraps into what looked like a broken shield. “This was once a viable shield,” Ehwaz sneered. In a flash, Ehwaz swiped his paw across the table, scattering the pieces so that the shield was unrecognizable. “Now, the possibilities are endless. The scrap metal can be as dangerous of a dagger as any.” Making quick work of the pieces, he begins to show you ways to survive off of even the most damaged weapons. “Bring me some damaged weaponry of your own, perhaps we can make use of it.”

Nadhir Clan (Peace)

Neutral
Lead by the gracious and humble Jera, the Nadhir clan is made up of peaceful and serene green-growers, felvargs passionate about tending to their beautiful land so that it in turn tends to them. Jera and her faithful followers believe there is no need for war, or power, or even knowledge beyond the land they live in; these sins landed her and her clan trapped in the bodies of beasts, afterall! Jera preaches kindness and equality, teaching those who will listen how to grow and nurture the world around them, or how to treat injury and ailment. Nadhir are at peace with who they have become, and live together in perfect harmony, regardless of their physical forms.
  • A consistent, friendly gesture is a good way to forge strong and reliable connections. You find Jera in the bakery with several bakers hastily prepping the kitchens. With a twitch of your nose, a plethora of various baked goodies flood your nostrils. With a smile Jera welcomes you in, “It is just about time that we make our monthly delivery of baked goods to our allies outside of our borders.” She claps her paws free of flour before pulling an old and tattered piece of parchment from within a book. “I wish to try a new recipe that consists of various berries. I believe they’ll make a delectable fruit tart and jam!” she licks her lips in anticipation. “If you could forage me some of these berries I would be most grateful.” She returns to her parchment and begins to check the recipe.

  • Onefel must learn to see the benefits and show appreciation in every creature, even those smaller than us. Jera was resting in her garden with many companions surrounding her as she beamed with a gentle aura. “They help us in various ways,” Jera spoke as she lifted a paw for a squirrel to perch on. “The squirrel is able to scavenge for treasures, the mini pig can sniff out berries,” Jera continued. “Some help by merely providing us company,” Jera looked to a raven soaring high above the garden. Jera rests her gentle gaze on you, her eyes solemn, “Locals in my village have spotted a white feral cat lingering in the woods nearby. If you can fetch that very white cat for me, so that we can help it, I would be most grateful.” Jera is trusting in you.

  • “A dear friend of mine had recently lost a relic that had been passed down to her for many generations,” Jera spoke with sympathy. With a shake of her head, she sighed, “We have retraced our paws and have turned up empty mawed.” She looked at you with a plea in her eyes. With a dip of your head, you understood. “We each have something that we hold dearly to us that brings us peace when times get hard,” Jera said, reflecting your own thoughts. Without hesitation, you offer to go and find the missing necklace so that it can be reunited with its rightful owner.

  • ”Peace is followed by understanding.” Jera reassured you as she stepped tea in a cast iron kettle that boiled rapidly over flickering flames, “Sometimes to learn more of somefel will offer us insight as to how that very Felvarg ticks.” Jera carefully poured two cups of tea before sliding one towards you politely. “You’re well travelled friend, because of that could I ask you a favor?” Jera queried as she sipped the steaming tea that was wrapped carefully in paws. “Might you take one of our golden wisps and accompany it to a core landmark location within Ulfrheim?” Jera nodded to a wisp that explored the hut alongside the two of you, “This knowledge could be most useful for us to understand Felvargs that reside in Ulfrheim.”

  • The bitter bite of Winter has slowly closed its claws on the island, making resources as scarce as ever. The sound of panicked pawsteps filled the air as the clan received word of an emergency in the north. Allies from the village of Heill are in desperate need of cloaks as they recently endured a blizzard and are closed in. “This is for the good of the pups,” Jera encouraged, her breath billowing in clouds as it touched the cold air. Many Clan members scrambled to gather as many spare cloaks as they could offer, however it just wasn’t enough. Jera rushes up to you, her hackles pricked with worry. “I need you to go to the markets and buy more cloaks for us. Do hurry, we must deliver them to the village at once!”

  • Even the smallest of gestures can help remind us that peace can be shown in many ways, it just takes one pawstep at a time. You watch as Jera browses a merchant with various, luxurious pelts hanging at their table. You watch her briefly stop at one pelts and inspect it with a gentle caress of her paw. Her brows furrow in thought, then she ever so subtly shakes her head and leaves. You hear her mumble to herself, “I must provide for the clan first.” She hastily moves onward to another merchant with food supplies. You stop and look at the pelt that Jera had shown favor in and take notice of the price. Without a second thought, you pay forward Jera’s kindness by purchasing this pelt as a gift.

  • Peace is often a virtue overlooked when conflict is inflicted upon the island. Jera has called to you to offer your assistance to the other clans. “A helpful paw will show them that peace is as much of an option as any,” Jera spoke softly. She has prepared a satchel full of supplies for you to bring with you. “Offering kindness to even those who wish to go to war can show that unity and collaboration can bring peace.” Jera smiles approvingly as she ushers you off to go seek out another clan leader and lend aid.

  • Clan Nadhir is bustling, most everyfel is moving around with an intense determination. Felvargs set up long white tables with beautiful pastel tablecloths while some set up chairs at each table. Lantern posts are wrapped in shimmering tinsel while somefels bring out food and place them neatly on the tables. Jera, spotting you from afar, gently approaches you, “We are preparing to receive some important guests who could help us bolster our supplies.” Jera invites you to walk with her as you both inspect the decorations, “We could use a few flowers to build a lovely bouquet for each table, would you have a moment to assist?”

  • “The next generation is vital to carry on our traditions and memories. Pups are the future of the Clan,” Jera spoke as she guided you through the nursery. “Their health is our top priority, we must do everything we can to ensure their success,” she continued as she led you through a door to a dimly lit room. Beneath a heap of pelts was a pup that emitted the sour tang of sickness. The pup let out a weak whimper as Jera laid down to curl her body around the tiny bundle. “This pup suffers a sickness like none we have seen before. Our healers are at a loss,” She whispered as she nuzzled the pup. “The healers talk of one last remedy we could try; an Amethyst. We have sent our best miners to hunt one down, however we could always use another set of paws.”

  • You make your way to the clan nursery after you have received word of a predicament that Jera had gotten herself into. Jera is overrun by a litter of pups. She returns your gaze, her expression betraying a plea for help. As you gently take the scruff of two of the pups who had clambered up onto her mane, you see the alpha breathe a sigh of relief, through her eyes shone with love. “These guys are quite the pawful!” she playfully exclaimed as she nuzzled into the third pup that tugged at her cheek fur. “They are the future of the clan, they deserve our utmost respect. So fragile, yet resilient, they are our most treasured members,” Jera sighed softly. She sat up and gave her coat a shake, causing the litter of pups to squeal with laughter. With a stretch, she climbed out of the pelt lined nest and gestured for you to take her place. “You wouldn’t mind watching them for just a few moments, would you?” With or without hesitation, you knew you couldn’t deny such a request.

  • As thunder begins to rumble off in the distance, the promise of rain is heavy in the air. You find Jera pacing the entryway to the nursery, her hackles twitching. As you approach, she pricks her head up, her eyes glittering with concern. “We are short of supplies for the nursery, the pups must stay warm during the storm,” she whispers hastily so nofel overhears. “Please, go and grab any pelts you can think of.” She carefully slips her way back into the nursery, curling around a precious litter of pups. You quickly take off just as the first few sprinkles of rain begin to appear. It was only a matter of time before a torrent of rain washed down upon the village.

  • The scent of warm bread laced with the savory aroma of roasted meat floats on the air like a feather in the breeze. It grabs your attention, hypnotizing you as if it were a siren out at sea. You follow the mouthwatering scent as it leads you through the forest until you stumble across a small but sturdy hut. Kvasis emerges through the doorway, immediately taking notice of you, “Welcome my friend, you must be hungry!” The dwarf beacons you forward, “I have made what I’d confidently say is the best meal to have ever graced these woods, would you do me the honors and share it with me?”

  • Botany is a skill that is invaluable to the art of healing. “We must bring forth and share the craft that we hold to aid those around us,” Jera spoke as she carefully inspected an array of herbs, flowers, and roots at her paws. “We have received a request to brew a particular tea to soothe a burning fever as a result of an infection,” Jera frowned, her throat tight with worry. She pinned her ears back against her skull as she looked at the bundle of herbs. “I’m afraid I’m out of supplies to brew such a cure. There are ingredients I simply need to finish this task.”

  • It takes an immense amount of patience and persistence when perfecting your own brand of dye and while Jera is no stranger to enduring a variety of difficulties, she finds herself a bit flustered as her latest efforts to stain the cloth used for Clan Nadhir’s flags falls short of her expectations. You find her perched in front of a clothes line draped with fabric a muddled shade of brown, her ears pinned back as if it had just thrown insults at her. Her demeanor softened when she noticed you approaching, “I have many talents, mostly in healing both the body and the spirit, but I would like to master this skill.” She stares back at the cloth before her, “I have used the last of my resources, would you be a dear and bring me a few items so that I may try this again?”

  • You walk side by side with Othila as she personally gives you a tour of the grounds, exchanging friendly pleasantries as you pass each major location within Clan Nadhir. She guides you to a large community hut where you see Jera, covered in paint and surrounded by several puppies, “Here you will find...” Othila pauses at the sight of Jera who cheerfully greets you both, “What fortunate timing, I could use assistance.” Othilia gives you a gentle bow before conveniently dismissing herself leaving you to handle Jera’s request on your own, “As you can see my resources have been used?” It sounds a lot like a question but that much is clear given Jera is wrangling half painted defiant pups that wriggle from her grasp. “Be a dear?” You know just what Jera needs.

  • To keep the peace, we must be ready to learn how to step out of our comfort zone to welcome new skills. “An offer has been laid at my paws to start a trade of refined metals with the other clans,” Jera began, her brows furrowed in concentration. The two of you sat in the hazy cabin where blacksmiths forged all kinds of supplies. Jera gazed around, her body ever so slightly tense, “This is a matter of utmost importance. However, I do not possess the necessary skills.” She sits back on her haunches and lifts her head thoughtfully. “Care to lend a paw and learn how to forge with me?”

  • A gift of gratitude can be shown through even the smallest of actions. As winter clamps its icy grasp on the lands of Jormungandr, Jera scrambles to prepare gifts to those less fortunate to bring warmth to themselves. “Our clan members provide us strength with their loyalty and duties, we must pay it back where we can,” Jera spoke softly as she ran her paws over a supply of wool. “I want us to make woolen cloaks for those in need, however I am afraid that I do not have enough resources,” Jera averted her gaze as a feeling of hopelessness washed over her. Pricking your ears, you quickly offer to assist her in providing supplies to the leader of peace.

  • “Fish have many remedies that we can share among the Clan,” Jera spoke as she led you to the grand kitchens. She approaches one of the cooks as they prep fish for a broth. “Fish have many uses, from the oil they provide to the meat that fills our stomach, we have a lot to appreciate about them.” She gently takes a fish within her paws and runs a delicate claw along the scales. “Even the skin can be made into leather that could prove quite useful. Utilizing the entirety of the fish is an important practice to our Clan.”

  • Without warning, a gust of icy wind blows through Jera’s thick coat. She shivers slightly, shaking off the pervasive chill that crept under her skin. Her gaze shifts to you and she greets you with a gentle smile, “You again.” Jera leads you side by side into a hut that was equally as cold inside as it was outside, “I’m currently building a hut for somefel seeking refuge and peace.” Jera now stands beside a grand fireplace, “If you could help me to build this fireplace, we can welcome thesefel into a space of safety and warmth. Kindness is everything, is it not? How else can we all rest peacefully at night?” Jera had a point.

  • Jera is flagging through some paperwork when you enter her hut, with peace comes great responsibility as the clan leader navigates her role as the clan leader of Nadhir. Another Felvarg is standing before her, and the two are discussing the health of the clans. Faegir needs aid, their resources are dwindling and Jera has decided to help them in their time of need. She has selflessly donated two of her own very precious gems, and has asked you to deliver them. This is a great opportunity to show Jera your kindness. Without telling Jera, who will later find out on her own, match Jera’s offering with one of your own.

  • Jera shakes her head solemnly as her weary gaze meets yours. “We have recently taken in a new member. Battered by the promise of glory from the bloodiness of war,” she spoke, her brows furrowed. “We offer peace to those who wish to embrace it, but first we must ensure their safety and comfort. We must get them back to a safe pawing regardless of where their fate takes them next, even if it is not with us in Nadhir.” Jera leads you to a Felvarg that appears to be in quite the rough shape. Their form was curled tightly within a bed lined in pelts. They tossed and turned fitfully, groaning with pain. “They are having trouble sleeping due to the pain. Lavender is known to help lull somefel to sleep, and it would mean a great deal to our clan if you could lend us your aid.”

  • A storm had recently passed through the lands of Jormungandr leaving nothing but destruction in its wake. Felvargs from neighboring villages flood to Nadhir seeking refuge and a warm meal. Jera stood at the gate welcoming anyfel who passed through with a gentle smile, guiding them to the great hall where everyfel gathered safe from the storm. As the last of the new arrivals trickled in, Jera turned to you, “We are going to need warm bedding for everyfel, please go fetch us some pelts from the storage shed, they have been through enough, the least we can do is make them warm and comfortable.”

  • You walk the territory of Nadhir when you see Jera in the distance, looking onward. As you approach, she casts a glance towards you before speaking, “Do you ever think of your heritage?” You sit next to her, gazing out at the horizon. The sun was setting and turned the valleys to a blazing gold color. “We must not forget where we came from.” You tip your head thoughtfully, recounting your own lineage. “Many of us come from human descendants, a part of history many have not forgotten.” You see the gentle leader's eye mist with tears before she quickly blinks them away. “Many of our human ancestors perished, we must honor their memory even now.” She turns to you and dips her head respectfully, “Let us hold a ceremony in their honor.”

  • Underneath a moonless night sky, the Clan of Nadhir gathers around a large bonfire. A tradition held at the beginning of each month that brings the clan together. As you watch the pups excitedly dart around the warm glow of the fire, you catch sight of Othila. She appears worried, searching her immediate area for something until her eyes meet yours, “Jera has requested I play some music for tonight’s festivities and it appears as though my Flute has gone missing.” She whispered to you in hushed tones, “Help me locate my flute and a small lantern so that I may view my pages. I must have everything before we begin.”

  • With a flick of her tail, Jera guides you through a narrow opening within a crevice of a nearby cave system. As the dark swallows you whole, you follow the scent of Jera so that you don’t get lost. With an upbeat cheer to her voice, Jera announces, “We’re here!” As you squeeze through a small opening, you step into a large clearing, gently lit by rays of sunshine piercing the cave ceiling. Every inch of the cave floor was gripped by an array of flora. You stare in awe as Jera carefully steps around patches of vibrant flowers, her fur rusting their petals. “Breathtaking, is it not?” Jera smiles. She gestures towards a small barren patch of ground. “I find peace by surrounding myself with such life. Looking after the world we live in, even in darkness is another way we choose peace.” Jera places her paw where the barren patch of dirt is, “Make your mark, child of Nadhir.”

  • As you patrol the edges of the woods you stumble across an unusual location you had never seen before. Black iron gates laced with vines form a small perimeter around an overgrowth of weeds and bushes. A rustling inside startles you. You approach with caution to find that Othila had stumbled upon this place first and was avidly digging through the weeds. You clear your throat to announce your presence triggering her to greet you, “I am glad you are here. It may not look like it now, but this is a grave site.” Taken aback by her statement, you glance around once more and notice small headstones sticking up from the foliage. “They are our ancestors and they have been forgotten. Peace continues long after we are gone my friend.” Othila declares. “Find a shovel and some flora and help me transform this resting place to its former glory would you?”

  • Each year Jera hosts a bounty and invites each of the clans to partake in a feast with one another in honor of peace. She believes these bounties will continue to forge a safe space for all of the clans to exist peacefully. A giant cauldron rests on a bursting fire pit as each of the clan leaders mingle with their own. Jera watches from across the way deep in thought. Now would be a great time to honor Jera, leader of Nadhir; seeker of peace. Now is your chance to show Jera you choose peace too. Approach the cauldron in front of each of the clan leaders and display an act of kindness unto Jera. Help prepare the feast that will feed everyfel. Jera will be sure to join you, proud to call you somefel she knows to be associated with Nadhir.

  • Felvargs have their own personalities and ideals, the different clans each with their own idea of what garnishes success is living proof of that. Jera works tirelessly alongside Nadhir to remind them that their ideals are valid, but peace will always play an important role in everything they do. Jera preaches one thing always to those who follow her, and that is? Pie, of course. “Nofel hates pie.” Jera would tease often to the pups under her guidance. Often Nadhir will bake such treats and have them delivered to the other clan leaders as a show of kindness. Bake pies for Jera with ingredients you sourced to show her you believe in her ideals of peace and support her. She will take notice.

  • You find Jera perched in the middle of a small field littered with a wide variety of vegetation. Her tail flicks from side to side as she silently considers each plant individually. It is your gentle but curious approach that snaps her out of her trance, “Oh, hello.” Her voice sounds almost relieved and her smile, warm and inviting, “I was just thinking about Othila, she had done so much for us as of late and I would really like to show her my appreciation.” Her gaze shifts back to the foliage that surrounded her, “I’d like to forge her a care package of sorts. Remind her to be looking after herself.” Jera stands now to greet you properly, “Help me gather some supplies and I’ll be sure to let her know it was from you as well.”

  • A solemn silence has befallen the Clan of Nadhir as a raging storm soon came to a close. Jera’s clan followed closely behind her, their heads lowered as they trek through the nearby resting grounds to inspect the damages. What was once a beautiful memorial now lay in ruins. Although no words were spoken, the air was thick with sorrow. Jera stepped forward and pressed her head against a fallen shrine, with her eyes squeezed closed she whispered something nofel could hear. Her gaze flicked to each clan member before she continued her trek through the grounds. You paused at the fallen shrine, your heart aching for the Jera. You devise a plan to help Jera return the shrine to its former glory. This act of kindness will mean Jera recognises your efforts to bring peace.

  • As you’re exploring the forests of Jormungandr you hear soft cries, the noise causes you to freeze as your tabs swivel and isolate the direction they are coming from. You cautious approach, using your shoulders to force your way through the underbrush. Here you see Jera, she is collapsed before a fox that had clearly met its demise. You’re confused for a moment as you try to understand what is happening. Softly Jera weeps as she buries her face into its lifeless body. You clear your throat which alerts Jera to your presence. The moment she hears you she attempts to snap herself out of it and collect herself with pride, the words she spoke next were quivered and laced with heartache. “Apologies, this creature was a dear friend of mine. Even us Felvarg love the companions we gain.” Jera wiped her own eyes now as her ears pinned back. “He lived a long and beautiful life, but part of finding peace is letting go.” Jera seems conflicted but stands behind her purpose. “My heart is truly broken.” You close the gap between you and Jera and comfort her. As a show of peace you bury Jera’s friend for her, lace the grave in flowers and even preserve a portion of its pelt for her to cherish. Jera will most certainly remember this act of kindness.

  • The Clan of Nadhir are hard at work preparing for the upcoming winter season. Temperatures begin to drop dramatically and with it, an illness spreads throughout. Something sinister has made itself at home among the clan causing even the strongest and healthiest of its members to remain in bed. Concerned, Jera is willing to risk it all for a remedy, even though she herself is also unwell. She has readied herself to enter the forest and seek out the medicinal herbs her healers had told her they desperately needed. It is at this point you realize just how true Jera is to Nadhir. You accompany her to look after her and Jera is most thankful for your presence.

  • News of an important guest traveled fast, stirring up a wave of excitement and eager anticipation. Jera, as onefel would expect, remained composed, directing everyfel with precision and offering guidance for the preparation, “Today, we will be hosting the Trinity. Along with experiencing our hospitality, I would like for them to sample some of our local cuisine.” Jera addressed you personally, pawing over a list of items she wished to have prepared for their arrival.

  • Jera notices you and gestures you over, the two of you now sit paw in paw as she speaks discreetly. “Many things bring peace,” You listen to Jera intently, “Even companionship.” Jera looks to the sky as two birds swivel together playfully, “Sometimes those of us with the thickest skin need companionship the most.” Jera was right, in loneliness heartbreak is even more difficult to navigate. “To show true peace we must lean into and practice our own ideals.” Jera encourages you to seek out companionship and lean into its embrace, and to encourage her ideals by providing Nadhir with the means to encourage its success.

  • Kvasis sits in solitude under a giant oak tree, a small gust of wind shifts the leaves sending playful beams of sunlight dancing about across the ground around him. With his eyes closed, he lifts his nose into the air, breathing in deeply before releasing a slow, intentional exhale moments later. He greets you warmly as you approach, “Everyfel is always so busy, fussing over their everyday trials and tribulations.” Kvasis motions for you to join him underneath the oak, “Onefel can often find peace and healing if they simply slow down and take the time to enjoy the moment.”

  • Jera stretches with a grunt, her face wincing with exhaustion. “It has been a busy season, I have traveled far and wide for many excursions.” She shakes out her coat with a sigh, “We can’t forget to look from within and find what we need for ourselves during these stressful times.” With a flick of her tail, she began to ponder. “How do you relax, where do you find your inner peace when the times get rough?” She nods her head, gesturing for you to take the lead. “I’d like to join you, show me.”

  • You enter Nadhir’s main village hall, the walls are painted in renditions of wars that have long since passed. Small pups race up and down the length of the room admiring the colors in awe. Felvargs can be seen reenacting the wars, gasps of even smaller pups shake in horror. Jera spots you from across the hall and motions you over. Before the two of you a blank wall stands free of paint. Jera encourages you to tell a story using the paints. “Allow your heart and mind the peace it needs to relive this memory here and now.” Jera deparents now but she will be back to see what it is you created. She appreciates you returning any paints you have not used.

  • As you’re passing through the village of Nadhir you are immediately swarmed with a dozen small pups, each one unapologetically tugging at you and disrupting your day. Jera approaches now as she removes a pup that had been hanging from your tail, as she does she chuckles and apologizes to you. “Sorry about that, they’re quite the pawful, strong as ever!” Jera shakes you free of the little rascal and somehow manages to get them to sit calmly around the two of you, “Did you know we’re amongst a fierce warrior?” Jera declared as the pups oohed and ahhed a twinkle in their eyes, “Oh yes, a mighty warrior.” Jera followed up playfully as she nudged you to go along. Show Jera you can show kindness to even those you do not know.

  • Jera shakes her head, her shoulders sagging low in defeat. “We must sometimes sacrifice our own feelings and morals to keep the peace among parties,” she whispered solemnly. “We all must bear the weight sometime in our lives, but we learn to forgive ourselves in time.” She looks up, meeting your gaze steadily. “By the look in your eyes, I know you understand the sacrifice all too well. Come, tell me your story to alleviate the burden.”

  • Over the winter months, the dry forest fell victim to a devastating wildfire causing irreversible damage. As life should have it, however, it will do its best to return with the coming of Spring. Slumbering plants hidden beneath a thick layer of ash begin to sprout. Birds return, finding the nests they had abandoned in Autumn now gone. Jera, fueled by obligation, had stayed up all night building small shelters for the wildlife returning to the forest. You find her in the early morning, “It is not only Felvargs for whom I care for but all forms of life that are within my influence. With so many returning to find their homes destroyed, I had to do something.” Wearily, she glanced down at her paws as they ached, “If you have time, I could use a helping paw.”

Visindi Clan (Knowledge)

Neutral
Lead by the supremely intelligent and sharp-willed Forvitni, the Visindi clan believe the key to controlling the world itself is raw knowledge. If there is something to be learned, Forvitni will find a way through whatever means necessary, supported by his faithful and strong willed followers. Visindi believe knowledge above all else is the most powerful attribute, above war, peace and power respectively. They believe themself supreme beings with a dangerous lust to learn more, and more. Forvitni plans to lead his clan to Ulfrheim where he believes his superior knowledge of the world will make him a king amongst kings, that all 'dirty natives' on the motherland will bow before his intelligence. He is not well received by the other clans.
  • "What do you think of Jormungandr, dear? It is a dangerous place, to be sure, but also full of beauty. I am a great lover of poetry. Will you write me a poem about the island?"

  • "You have been here for some time now, yes?" Forvitni asked, raising a brow as the two of you sat within his hut. "Just how much do you truly know about our island? Please, do tell." At your shifty expression, the male lets out a hearty chuckle. "Go visit our lands, and then come back to me with what you have learned."

  • "Terrible weather outside, yet again. Hmmph. Well, don't just stand there. How about a good fishing tale, hmm? Better yet, tell me about your journey from Ulfrheim. That has got to be good."

  • "Ugh, they just do not make blacksmith's hammers like they used to. If you come by an ancient nordic hammer, properly made and still in good condition, I would be in your debt."

  • "It has been far too long since I went on a proper fishing trip. Fetch some lures and meet me at the docks. I want to see what you are made of, outsider."

  • "When that damned Loki cast that spell on us, I lost all of my usual gear! Ever since then, I haven't been able to sustain myself properly, nor burn off my steam. And I don't care much for lingering with crowds either, so don't go suggesting that I make new friends. Pick up the following items for me so I can get back to what I do best; Fishing."

  • Mani Mani groans, rubbing at one of his joints with his paw. "Storm's coming. This winter will be brutal, I can tell already. The aches and pains never lie. I would like to assemble a cloak of sorts to prepare. Of course, I've no time to run about and chase things, so it'd be great if you could get some hides for me. You can hunt, can't you?"

  • "Hello child, tonight is the night. We will explore uncharted caves on the island. However, like I say, it is night.. Do us a favor and fetch us some lanterns to light the way. Be swift child, we have not but a few hours before we embark."

  • "We have heard of the fossils that can be found within the caves of Ulfrheim, and wish to learn more about these things." Mani Mani muttered, looking up at you from the book he currently had his nose it. "Can you bring me some, please? We would like to learn what we can while this opportunity is presented to us."

  • A resounding crash sounds from nearby. Turning toward it, you see Forvotni covered in what looks to be... a thick coating of dust? "Curses!" he bellows, trying to brush the stuff off of himself. Noticing you, he scowls. "Don't just stand there! Can't you see my experiment is in ruins? If you're done gawking, why don't you make yourself useful by finding me some new ritual skulls to examine? You will know them by the markings painted upon their surface. Go on, then! You might just learn something new during your search."

  • "You there! Come closer." Forvitni becons you over, a stressed crease between his brows. "An illness has been plaguing a clan member for weeks now with no cure in sight. I have been studying these runes for days and believe them to describe a solution, but even after my best effort I have hit a wall in fully deciphering them. There are many long lost texts on this island. If you can find some samples for me to cross-reference, I would be in your debt."

  • Forvitni is fussing over some netting and small chunks of meat. He moves his paws very meticulously, and you can tell this is not the first time he has done this. "Aye, you there, are you familiar with these traps? I can show you if you'd like."

  • Forvitni appears to be speaking aloud to no one in particular as you make your way toward him. "And, as all things should be, we find balance in nature. Isn't that true?" He turns to look right at you, and you didn't even know he knew you were there! You agree. "Find me something that demonstrates this, and I will know that you understand the true meaning of my words."

  • Knowledge is key, and with it an offering to the gods is necessary. Locate 3 different flowers or plants from the island of Jormungandr (e.g. bluebell, asters, sprig of lavender, raspberries etc.).

  • "The spirits are angry today," Forvitni murmurs, looking toward an increasingly stormy horizon. Turning to you, he sighs. "There is a ritual we could perform to try and appease them. Will you gather five Spirit Shakers for me? Please, we must hurry!"

  • "Child, I have a proposal to you," You hear Mani Mani ask as he comes closer to you. His posture remains calm yet something in his gaze makes him appear curious, almost excited as he continues. "I am in need of Agates. I have gathered many yet these three seem to be elusive of me. would you find me these three?"

  • The humans have left these parts and yet some of that heritage remains right here in Jormungand. You have heard some of the residents here still hold close their human memories, some being restless and angry about the turn of events, others simply feeling nostalgic as the old items and customs spring to their minds. Mani Mani especially has lately come to terms with his memories and only wishes to glance upon some items thought to be lost for good.

  • "Even though I no longer am in my true form, it doesn't mean that I have lost faith in the spirits or Gods around me. I know that they still hear my voice... they have to. Please bring me back the following items on this list here. Oh, and make sure that you collect the sage at night--that is when the leaves are at their finest and most useful to me."

  • "I'm extremely interested in the past forms of life from your island, Ulfrheim. However, I cannot travel there myself to investigate these artifacts. In order to gain the insight that I need into their lives, I need you to pick up a few items for me. Go, quickly now!"

  • "You look like you've got good taste, friend. Surely you know that the best soup stock is made with bones! Every bit of food has a use when it comes to cooking. Say, if you've got a moment, why don't you gather some fish bones with me and stay for dinner?"

  • "So, you've returned!" Mani Mani is distracted as he speaks to you, busy messing around with his latest experiment. "Hey, it's a good thing you're here, actually. I'll let you in on a little secret, friend." You aren't so sure you like the way he says 'friend', but you decide to stick around and hear him out. "There's this alchemical trick where you can turn bloodstone into actual blood. Or... something like blood. It's close enough! There are medical applications, I assure you. Ha! Just look at your face. I see you doubting me. Well. Go fetch me some bloodstone, and I'll prove it to you."

  • "You know, the people of Jormungandr would be faster to trust you if you put some effort into learning the lay of the land." Mani Mani looks at you knowingly. "Humor me for a bit, will you? I would like you to travel the island. Meet people. And put together a little map of where you've gone. Bring the finished map back to me when you are done... and perhaps a good story, too?"

  • Sitting around a fire with you one night, Mani Mani gets an adventurous spark in his eyes. "You know, many ships have wrecked off the coast of Jormungandr. Deep beneath the waves lie hidden the secrets of a past era..." He becomes a bit wistful. "Say, if I were to organize a few diving trips, would you accompany me sometime? I suspect we would learn a great deal."

  • "Oho, you've been holding out on me, haven't you?" Skelmir squints at you, leveling an accusatory claw to point at your face. "I heard from another Ulfrheim-born that the witch Hel has a spellbook filled to the brim with all sorts of delectable secrets. Just lying around in some cave called Helheim's Gate! Hmmph. I insist you go there and snatch it for me so that I can take a peek. Oh c'mon, you can give it back afterwards!"

  • "The sages speak of a strange raven with the ability of speech who makes his home deep within the forests of Spirits. If you answer his riddle, he may grant you a boon." Mani Mani sighs. "I am in dire need of such a thing, but cannot neglect my duties for the length of time it would take to travel to the forest. If you can, will you find this raven and convince him to accompany you back to speak with me?"

  • Forvitni unceremoniously thrusts a potion at your felvarg's paws. "You fancy yourself a brave adventurer, don't you? Why don't we put that to the test? I've brewed this special potion, and want you to give it a try." When you hesitate, he rolls his eyes theatrically. "It's not going to kill you. Who would I get to run my errands for me if you were gone?" He laughs, clearly at your expense. "C'mon, it'll just give you some... interesting visions."

  • You come across Mani Mani in the village library, nose-deep in a book. Just as you pass the library's entrance, the titan calls out for you. "Traveller!" Mani waits for you to reappear, then goes on: "You think you know this island by now, don't you? Find the missing pages to complete these four historical books and I will teach you the history of what was long ago forgotten."

  • The hunters on this island are so dense. They use up way too much energy! My mother used to always say "Give a felvarg a rabbit and he will eat for a day, teach a felvarg how to make a rabbit trap and he will eat for a lifetime!"

  • You can really learn a lot of history from dirt! Did you know, there are different levels of dirt such as topsoil, subsoil, regolith and bedrock! Did you also know that some of this soil hides many secrets? Here, bring me some and I will show you!

  • "Knowledge is power, especially when it gives you an advantage over your foes. Help Mani-Mani learn all there is to know about Ulfrheim by bringing him an item from each regular group activity and a map of the island itself."

  • Forvitni calls you over, "Do you know what I find so curious? Why is it the Felvargs of Ulfrheim never left the island? Is it the waters of Hongerige? Is it poisoned?" He pauses to look out into the great waves, "Locate 10 items from me, from deep within its clutches, maybe I can study and understand them more."

  • "I have been told that there is a healing attribute to some of the native plants of your lands. Bring them to me so that I can learn all I can from this theory. If they truly do heal, well, that is just extraordinary, isnt it?"

  • Forvitni speculates under his breath before he finally speaks to you, "This queen you all speak of? Who is she? Return me a single amulet of the queen so I can examine it. Your leader is an imposture, she does not even exist!"

  • Depict your Felvarg and Forvitni meditating together, with 3x Handmade Incense in your cache. What images cross your mind, or what struggles of your past come to the surface?

  • Songs often tell stories of the past. Bring your own set of instruments to play Mani-Mani a song they believe has base in their history, so he might learn from it.

  • "My books of the ancient war are lacking, despite being full of tales and records. I know what I need.. sources from you wolves. It would help me to understand how your Island came to be, these objects should allow me to see it for myself."

  • "Mani Mani's favorite family recipe has been lost to time." Mani Mani sits beside you, for once without his nose buried in a book. "Think the two of us are smart enough to recreate it, secret ingredient and all? Bring me some food items and we will try some things out. Nothing like a little trial and error, eh?"

  • Forvitni huffs and grunts as he angrily searches his belongings. "You there! Thieves have been through here and they've taken important documents for my next experiment!" He growls under his breath before spreading out a stack of papers "It's pages! Pages that look just like this! Go! What are you waiting for? Track them down, find my belongings!"

  • "Ho there, friend! I need you to bring me a wolf. Any old wolf will do, as long as you bring it here alive. I need to study the less obvious differences between the common beast and the felvarg, and I have no time to be running around snatching creatures out of the forest." Mani Mani smiles at you, a teasing glint in his gaze. "C'mon, you aren't worried it'll outsmart you, right?"

  • "Have you ever wondered how the fish differ from island to island? I have, word has it the fish here are more intelligent, I'd like you to test that theory friend."

Setja Clan (Power)

Neutral
Lead by the inhumanely strong and savage Starkir, the Setja clan are viewed as heretics and 'God-defilers' by the rest of Jormungandr for their magic practising. The Felvargs of Setja believe in themselves over all others, shunning Loki and Fenrir as 'false gods' for what they believe to be heinous crimes against their people. They explore all outlets to dispell the blood curse and return themselves to their true form. Starkir's following is the largest of all on Jormungandr by far, with converts from the three other clans mystified by his powers of sorcery and magic. Starkir is not alone in his talents, and the other clans have noticed a startling rise in the number of magic practising felvargs on Jormungandr. They are widely feared and avoided.
  • "What are you doing here in my territory? Just passing by you say? Unacceptable! If you want to pass you must bring me a toll, and not just anything will do. Bring me a chunk of silver ore and a chunk of iron or and I will consider letting you pass."

  • You stumble into Bleza, nearly quite literally. She is laying on the ground in her hut, muttering things under her breath. She's not really acting like herself, and that's when you notice the empty bottles at her side. Oh great, drunk. Mani Mani sent you here to collect something from her, but that's not exactly going to work if she's out cold, nor would Mani find this impressive. "Is cold, yur lettin' in da col'." She mutters at you, and you scramble out to find something to rouse her.

  • "Well, well, look who it is. Come here, I want to show you something." Bleza reveals an intricate, somewhat disturbing diagram for an invention she has thought up. "I just need a few good nets and it will be perfect! Can you find some for me?"

  • "You look like you want something from me. Tsk. Why should I give you anything? Show me you are worth my time by participating in Capture the Flag. Go on! Surely with your confidence you can outsmart some of the others."

  • "I might be smart enough to win any contest on my own, but sometimes it is just fun to win by underhanded means. I want to participate in some upcoming competitions and need a few things to make sure it goes juuuust right..."

  • You walk into Bleza's hut, seeing her standing beside a table of hooks and barbs. She glances up at you with a frown, you have clearly broken her focus. "Well, while you have my attention I might as well get your help. I'm trying to help invent a better hook now that metal is harder to deal with. Bring me any sharp objects that you think may help me."

  • "Some of the guards in Festa are in need of fresh equipment. Only the sturdiest will do; these are our protectors, after all. Purchase the following from the market next time you are there." She offers you a list written in neat, orderly runes.

  • You think of yourself as an accomplished adventurer, hmm? Go on a few noble quests, tell me about them, and we shall see.

  • "I hear you have fought many a bear over in Ulfrheim. I believe ours in Jormungandr to be far mightier. You think you can prove me wrong? I will be the judge of that. Collect two bear skulls from your favorite location in Ulfrheim and bring them back to me, and we shall compare their sizes."

  • "Thank the gods you are here. I have heard tell that a phoenix has shed her feathers to the north, in Mount Vita. Can you imagine what will happen if a witch gets their paws on those? Please, collect them before one does."

  • "Do you have what is takes to survive on this island? You can't rely on anyone but yourself out here. Prove to me you are resourceful enough to survive on your own. Leave your belongings with me and set off on your own."

  • "My dreams since my younger years have been filled with forge fires, the sharp screech of metal on metal, and the smell of melted gold. I envision Fenrir and Loki fighting for my skillfully crafted swords and armor-- what dreams they are, indeed! The day has come that I am destined to fulfill those desires. Sadly, I have none of the tool to start out. Could you bring me a great anvil and blacksmith's hammer? When I am a famous 'smith, I will reward you tenfold!"

  • "Hey you, traveler! Over here. Up ahead there is a cave, deep within its winding caverns there is a merchant with an item I desire more than anything. The price? 2 rusty stinkin' coins, what is a rusty coin anyways? Fetch me some at once, please make haste!"

  • Starkir and Bleza are sparring when you approach. Starkir has just barely managed to pin Bleza for the win. He cheers triumphantly and shouts toward you. "Are you next?" Perhaps if you put up a good fight you'll earn some respect from him.

  • You come upon Starkir standing deep within a power, inspecting a shrine of some sort. There is a glow radiating from the shrine's center, and a faint hum is audible in the air. The pulsing makes you vaguely sleepy. When he notices you, he gestures to several carvings on the altar's surface. "I believe this to be a place of power, but some components seem to be needed to unlock its magic. Look here." You peer closer to the shrine and see several carvings: berries, a bison skull, an axe, and an owl. Starkir pulls back, drawing you with him. "Find me these items, and hurry back!"

  • Starkir looks bored, resting his head on his paws lackadaisically. "It's been such a slow day today, hasn't it? Hmm. I have an idea. You wish to prove yourself capable, do you not? Make an impression, gain prestige? I propose a little competition between you and I." He stands, grinning. "If you can outsmart me at a task of your choosing, I think you'd certainly gain the admiration of those who follow me."

  • Starkir ushers you off to the side during dinner, apparently wanting to have a private conversation. "I've heard tell that Nar's clan has abandoned a mine we have long been in dispute over. I need someone to look inside and see if there are any riches they happened to miss. If the mine is still viable, we can claim it and gain an economic foothold in a part of Jormungandr we have had our sights set upon for decades. What say you?"

  • At his request, you accompany Starkir to the site of the village's burial mounds. There he lays out the customary offering, but afterwards he frowns. "Those who honor their ancestors are said to be able to summon them for advice on important political matters. We could truly use that advice now to gain an edge over the other clans... but is it possible?" He falls into silence, then turns to you. "Bring me a bundle of spirit shakers, friend. I wish to put an idea to the test."

  • Over drinks, Starkir has been joking and laughing with you long through the night. Toward the end of the evening, however, he grows more serious. "If you really are trying to gain fame in this region, you must make an impression on the more remote settlements as well as the big towns. Travel there and get to know the locals. Show them what you're about, and they will surely spread tales of your name far and wide."

  • Starkir scowls, staring down at a parchment as if trying to set it ablaze with ire alone. "I swear, the bickering of these clansmen will be the death of me." Noticing you, he sighs. "I have a task for you, if you're willing. Not a glamorous one. My clansman's daughter is to be wed. The union is important to our clan -- it will bring peace to two towns which have been feuding for many moons. The only trouble is, there's no one to deliver the girl's dowry. I know, I know. You didn't come here to be a delivery-varg, did you? Well, being a leader isn't all pomp and circumstance." The alpha fixes you with a stony look. "The dowry is a herd of sheep. Wrangle them across the island yourself or use your influence to convince some sorry sap to do it under your supervision."

  • Starkir summons you to his den, where strewn about are what look to be a number of fairy tale books. He follows your line of sight and shrugs. "I know what you're thinking, but there's more to it than this. Sightings off the coast confirm that there is... something in the water. A giant sea serpent, they say. These tales might have been written for children, but there is some truth to such old stories. Anyone who brings back the head of this serpent would be glorified through the ages. Even if you don't believe me, will you go to look for signs of this serpent's existence?"

  • "You have been making quite a name for yourself," Starkir hums, regarding you from the end of a long table. Several documents are spread out before him. "I have a task in mind which will further cement your reputation in this area. A town in the middle of Jormungandr is in need of an industry. I want you to choose which they will focus upon: medicine, food, or weaponry. Whatever you end up picking, bring me some supplies from the industry you have in mind to help get them on their feet."

  • Starkir is in a hushed discussion with several occult-looking felvargs when you arrive to meet her. Seeing you, the others rush away. Starkir approaches after a moment. "The mages tell me an amulet in Nar's possession is... unique. It looks like a typical Amulet of the Queen, but is much, much more powerful. I need you to acquire this amulet for me, along with a second one, the sort you can buy at any market. We will compare the two and find the truth of it."

  • Starkir appears to be looking at a roster of some sort. He glances up at you, then puts the paper down. "Ah, you're here. Listen well. So far you have been accomplishing great things on your own, but without support you will never reach your goals. You must understand that power is not an island. Team up with another adventurer to accomplish a task of your choosing. Make them your ally in this, to show you are capable of working with others as well as you can work alone."

  • You meet Starkir in a stone chamber hidden beneath a heavy trap door, as instructed. Inside is a torch-lit room, where the alpha stands wearing a dark, hooded cloak. Wondering what you are in for, you nevertheless approach. "I need you for a mission of some delicacy. We require information on the other clans in order to stay one step ahead of them, but they are reluctant to speak to those they know are aligned with us. I want you to do one task for each of the other clan leaders. Earn a bit of their trust. Then, report back to me with some proof of what you have learned."

  • Starkir has invited you to walk through the woods. There you trot side by side, inspecting various traps the hunters have laid out. "Bah. Nothing again. The hunters claim it is just a bad season, but I have a feeling that it's the traps themselves that are faulty. The fur trade is very profitable here in Jormungandr. If we can get a leg up ahead of the other clans by inventing superior traps, I doubt they will be able to match our profits for years to come. Do you think you have it in you to come up with something new to help the clan?"

  • Bleza is in a terrible mood, that much is clear as soon as you enter her longhouse. You have to dodge out of the way to narrowly avoid being struck by a flung goblet. Seeing you, she calms incrementally. "Starkir has made a fool of me for the last time. I need to teach him a lesson, but I cannot leave my hold. Please, travel to his lands and challenge him to a duel. I want him to be shamed in front of his own advisers, so they can see how weak he truly is."

  • Starkir is unable meet with you face-to-face, but has sent an encrypted message to you by bird. It reads: "We have received word that Nar's spies are lurking in the woods above the beaches. I wish to turn the tables on them. Find the spies and spy on them -- figure out their next move so that we can take Nar by surprise and come out one step ahead of him."

  • Starkir, usually quite level-headed, seems a bit flustered when you come to meet him. He is checking and double checking the lists laid out on the table before him, and doesn't even slow down when you stand nearby. "The peasants are getting rowdy again. Normally when this happens we have a big feast to distract them while we make political change, but we're running short on supplies for such an event." Finally, he meets your eyes, a list clutched between his claws. "I need you to take the lead on this. Organize the event, if you are up for the challenge. But first, we need these items to even get started."

  • Yet again, Starkir is wandering the woods at night and has asked you to join him. This time he is carrying a number of strange items with him. "The pursuit of power is not always smooth-sailing, you know." He begins to lay out the items in a ritual circle. "I seek to summon a spirit for aid. If we are lucky, it will bless us with a boon from the Great Father's feasting halls. Hmm... but I'm missing something. You should be able to find it in the woods here. Collect some Wild Poppies and bring them back. Hurry now! We must finish before sunrise."

  • Starkir is more stern-looking than usual when you come to meet him. There are a suspicious number of guards gathered around him, too. When you're close enough, they close in behind you and bar your escape. "I have received word from one of the other clans that you are a wanted criminal. What say you? Tell me now, why shouldn't I throw you straight into the dungeons?"

  • Nar has promised us his political support in an upcoming gathering, so long as we bring him a delivery of certain supplies." Starkir is rummaging in the longhouse's storage area, but seems frustrated. "We have a number of the things he has requested, but others..." He trails off, meeting your eyes. "If you would gather these items and deliver them to his clan's hold, we would be in your debt."

  • You hear Starkir laughing even before you crack open the door and approach. He wipes his eyes when you enter the room, trying to regain his composure. "You're here, good. I had something else in mind for you, but there have been some... new developments. Instead of what was originally planned, I want you to break into Jera's quarters and steal her Elixir of Lust. Oh, I know it's in there. We've been trying to get some leverage on her for ages, and thought she had a spotless record for all this time. Well. Now we'll have some blackmail material." The arctic grins, obviously still amused.

  • What exactly is a wisp? Could you catch one and bring it here so that I may study its magical properties? Bring

  • There is great knowledge in the past however, felvargs typically take it to their grave. Help me build a device so that I may contact them and fill in the blanks about the past.

  • Your Felvarg consumed a random potion it found laying in the woods, why would you do that? Who knows? Explain the dream or experience.

  • My spells/rituals have been failing a lot lately, rumor has it there is a magical beast in the woods that with its very presence can guarantee the success of any experiment. Well, what are you waiting for? Go find it!

  • Spells seemed to have... backfired on one of the lesser prey animals native to the island, and you are requested to seek it out in order to learn from it or put a stop to it.

  • Depict the aftermath of a 1v1 match after the results have been rolled. How did your felvarg fair? Did they win gracefully or are they salty about their loss?

  • Its time to gear up for war friend. Locate one of every bear pelt and return it to me quickly so that we can stitch them into fine wear for our fighters. Be swift!
