Varglotto:
30500 Felcredits

Good afternoon, Felfam! We're here with some exciting news! The EXP Calculator has officially been updated to our new framework, bringing with it several changes designed to simplify the system, streamline entry submissions, and make earning EXP more rewarding. We know there are quite a few changes, so we'll break down exactly what's new below and explain how EXP will be handled moving forward!
The following are all collapsed into Activity Entry, now worth a static +2 EXP:
Activity Entry, Event, Seasonal Event, Storybook, Seal Hunting, Hierarchy Update, Tournament/Underbelly, Marathon, Capture the Flag, Passage of Courtship, Beast Hunt.
This gives most previously +1 categories a +1 increase while greatly simplifying the calculator.
Peacekeeper and Assassin are collapsed into a single option since the two bonuses cannot stack.
Collaboration and Non-Commission are collapsed into a single Creator option. This applies when the submitting user created the artwork themselves, whether independently or collaboratively.
Static artwork is now handled through a simplified set of options:
Headshot — +1 [Hs]
Bust — +2 [Bst]
Full-body — +3 [Fb]
The previously separated Sketch / Head Shot / Bust / Full-body that had multiple selections in each category are now consolidated into a single option.
Chibi has been removed as a selectable EXP option. Artwork is selected normally as Headshot, Bust, or Full-body, regardless of if it is a chibi or not!
The old calculation options for Full-body Lined, Full-body Lineless, Flat Colored, Colored & Shaded, Simple Background, and Complex Background are being completely removed. We found that this over complicated how EXP was calculated and often confused people. This new method will mean you can calculate exactly what you need to participate in to achieve the levels you're trying to achieve.
Background/Activity EXP is now:
Simple Activities — +6
Complex Activities — +8
For an Activity Entry, the additional +2 [Act] selector brings these effectively to +8 EXP for Simple (7+ Literature) / +10 EXP (9+ Literature) for Complex activities.
Literature was previously calculated at +1 EXP per 200 words written. To better balance and reward literature entries, EXP is now calculated per 100 words (.5 EXP) , making higher literature EXP counts more achievable and forgiving.
Animation bonuses have been increased:
Simple Animation — +3 (previously +1.5)
Complex Animation — +4 (previously +3)
The old Bust Craft +2 and Full-body Craft +4 options are consolidated into one static Craft +5 option.
This category now explicitly encompasses sculptures, 3D artwork, and plush creations.

Have you ever wanted to learn more about the Alphas? Well, now you can!
You can now explore each Alpha beyond their appearance. Learn about their personalities, preferred/ideal gifts, locations, personality traits, and even discover who has recently found their soulmate. Over 300 Alphas, in the tiers not including 'LORE' have been updated! We hope you enjoy getting to know them a little better!
Please keep in mind that while most of the groundwork has been completed in the LORE tier, some Alphas in this tier are still awaiting their personality blurbs. These will be released gradually each week as we continue expanding their lore.
Chapter 6, Phase 2 of Storybook is live!
As the rain continued to lash down the mountain and lightning roared through the skies, the chasm slowly began to narrow. You joined the remaining Alphas and a trek that lasted for hours finally led you to a place that used to be a village, but now was nothing more than ruins. A battlefield that felt like thunder beneath your feet had finally silenced, and turned into a defeat of a great beast, leading to a divide much greater than the chasm that split Haldor's Pass into two. With a growing divide between morals, there is a choice to be made that will shape the future of Ulfrheim, but how, and what will you choose?

Chapter 6, Phase 1 - Storybook
Response To: 'The Heart of the Storm'
Loki stood alone at the edge of Haldor’s Pass, watching the storm savage Ulfrheim below. Rain lashed against his coat while lightning forked endlessly across the heavens, illuminating the chasm that now scarred the mountain relentlessly. He remained completely silent, unmoving despite the chaos that surrounded him, though another violent quake nearly unseated him as the island shifted uncomfortably beneath his paws. Slowly he steadied himself once more, his gaze never leaving the destruction as it laid out before him.
Something stirred behind him. Aurora cautiously pressed her face through the underbrush, only her head visible as she searched through the darkness. The moment her eyes locked on Loki, every fear she had been carrying dissolved, if only for a moment.
“Loki,” she called softly.
Aurora’s voice caught Loki entirely by surprise. He spun immediately, locking eyes with the very creature that had changed his life forever. Those same gentle eyes met his once more, piercing effortlessly through every wall he had spent a lifetime building around himself. Relief washed over him before anything else had the chance to surface. Neither of them spoke a word. There was nothing left to say. Instead, the two of them closed the gap between them without hesitation.
Aurora collapsed into his embrace, burying herself against his chest as though he would disappear if she let go. Loki held her just as tightly, his heart pounding against hers as he buried his muzzle into the fur along her neck. Since everything had begun they had shared little more than a passing glimpse of one another across impossible odds. Yet here she was now, alive, and within his reach. He would not waste a moment of this exchange.
Another violent quake ripped through the mountain, causing the two of them to reluctantly separate. Loki immediately stepped forward, offering his shoulder to Aurora to steady her before she could lose her balance.
“What are you doing here, love?” he asked, his voice filled with concern as another crack of lightning split the heavens above. “The storm…”
Aurora looked up at him, hope and heartbreak painted clearly across her expression.
“Hymnlaeja,” she cried out, a rush of emotions causing her voice to crack. “Come with me to Hymnlaeja, please.”
Loki’s ears folded back slowly. It had been many years since he had heard anyfel speak the name of Hymn’s sacred isle.
“Everyone has been searching for you, Aurora,” he answered gently. “Hymnlaeja is gone.”
“No!” The word escaped her desperately, “It’s not.” Tears welled in her eyes as she searched for each of Loki’s eyes, a plea for him to believe her. “I saw it with my own eyes. Please… come with me. Don’t make me endure another sleepless night without you.”
Another quake rolled through Haldor’s Pass, matching the tremble in Aurora’s desperation.
“Please.”
Loki lowered his gaze in thought. For a long time he said nothing at all. His own thoughts became his prison once more. Aurora deserved better than the creature standing before her. She deserved peace and safety. A future untouched by the curse that had stolen so much from them already. Every logical thought he could surface urged him to walk away. Yet every beat of his heart begged him not to. Worry grew in Aurora’s expression as tears streamed down her face. Eventually he stepped forward until his forehead rested gently against hers.
“Tell me what to do,” he whispered softly.
Aurora gasped as she lifted her gaze beyond Loki’s shoulder, her eyes widening in disbelief.
“What is that?” she asked.
Loki turned to search through the darkness. Beyond the storm, deep within the Shrine of Freyja, a pillar of golden light erupted into the heavens. It pierced effortlessly through the darkness that had blanketed Ulfrheim, roaring to life so brilliantly it rivaled the lightning itself. From within the pillar burst to life countless spectral creatures, weaved delicately in shimmering gold. Stags, wolves, birds, and foxes bound free from the light before disappearing into the storm, their luminous forms cutting through the darkness as though they had a purpose of their own.
“Hymn,” Aurora whispered. And without another word she bolted toward the light.
“Aurora, wait!” Loki called after her, immediately giving chase.
Aurora glanced back over her shoulder as she ran, every emotion imaginable painted across her face. Fear. Hope. Wonder. Relief. Anxiety.
Loki had chosen to trust her, just as he always had. And somehow, after everything they had endured, that was enough. Together they raced towards the pillar of light that continued to roar defiantly against the storm.
