HISTORY
For the first few years of his life Icicle lived with his family in a small, private cottage. Icicle doesn’t remember much about this time of his life, just a few small moments and feelings, but the one thing that he does remember well is the day that he lost everything. Icicle was very young, and for some reason his caretakers had brought him out into the middle of the woods. Icy tried to keep up with them, but he was too slow and got lost along the way. Icicle called out for help over and over again, but he got no response. Eventually, all his yelling had attracted dangerous wild animals. While Icicle was all alone, a coyote decided that he was easy prey. The coyote chased Icicle for quite a while until it got close enough to attack, mangling Icy’s leg in the process. Luckily, Icicle’s screams for help were answered this time, a strange fel appeared out of the undergrowth and chased the coyote off, then they returned to check on the poor puppy they had saved.
The stranger asked Icicle where his family was, and upon learning that Icy didn’t know where they were and didn’t know the way home they decided to bring Icicle to the grove in hopes that his family would come looking for him there. Years passed by, and nofel came to look for Icicle. He settled into life at the grove well, making friends and learning skills that would help him in adulthood. Icicle stayed at the grove through all his puphood and teen years, and he helped Gerolamo take care of the younger puppies as well as any task Gero needed him to do. Eventually, Icicle got too old to stay in the grove any longer, so he set out into the world.
Life was rough for him at first, but eventually Icicle settled into a new normal. One day, Icicle was headed towards a local village when he ran into a familiar face from his puphood: a brown, striped brute named Amare. He spent the rest of the day catching up with Amare, with the two of them parting ways afterwards. He didn’t expect to see her again, but they kept running into each other in the strangest places; eventually, the two of them struck up a friendship, and it became a running joke that they wouldn’t have to wait for very long until they saw each other again.
As time went on, their friendship blossomed into a romance, and they raised a litter of three puppies together, named Pheasant, Wren, and Moss. After their puppies had grown up, the two of them parted ways. Amare wanted to continue fulfilling her ambitions, and Icicle wanted to take some time to rediscover himself. While they were apart, Icicle felt truly alone for the first time in a very long time, and he often felt himself pulled to the edge of Ulfrheim for a reason he couldn’t quite place.
On a whim, Icicle decided that he wanted to learn more about soulmates, a fabled connection to someone else that everyfel supposedly had. Icy wasn’t sure how much he believed this, but he was willing to learn about it and see if the claim held any merit. As he learned more about it, he realized that his connection with Amare fit the description of Soulmates quite well, and he decided that if they ran into each other again he would talk to her about it.
During this time, Icicle was still being pulled to the sea, and one day this subconscious tug brought him to a harbor. As he was walking around, he saw Amare exiting a boat, back from a long voyage to another island. The two of them met up and, after talking for a while, both agreed that they were probably soulmates. They got back together and have been nearly inseparable ever since.
