Abandoned by his parents for being deemed a curse, Raldri spent a good amount of his youth alone. This solitary life forced him to teach himself the skills necessary for survival. However, his solitary life came to an end when a fel named Salazar approached him. Salazar praised his skills, and invited the young hellhound to join his pack known as the Black Daggers. He explained that the Black Daggers were a sort of mercenary pack. Despite feeling like Salazar had ulterior motives for recruiting him, Raldri agreed.
As soon as the young hellhound set foot in the Black Dagger’s camp, he was met with hostility. Alkore, a high ranking member of the pack demanded that Raldri prove his skills in a match against his son Valdric. Salazar left the decision up to the young hellhound. Annoyed at Alkore’s treatment of him, Raldri agreed to the fight. After winning the fight against Valdric, Raldri also won the respect of many of the other pack members. However, Valdric harbored a fierce hatred towards the hellhound.
Over few years he spent with the pack, his gained a fairly good reputation among the surrounding towns. Partly through proving his worth through mercenary work, and partly through simply helping the townsfolk with little things. However, this all changed one night when Salazar was found dead just on the edge of the Black Dagger’s Camp. Raldri knew immediately that Valdric and his lacky’s were behind it. However, the murder was pinned on Raldri.
Banished from the Black Daggers, rumors about the murder spread through the area like wildfire, likely with aid from Valdric and his hounds. With his reputation ruined, Raldri was once again forced into a solitary life. Rumors about him seemed to travel faster than his own legs could carry him, so no where he went did he find refuge. Because of this, he tended to avoid densely populated areas, and only traveled into towns when necessary.
Despite this, Raldri never stopped helping fels if they seemed in dire need of it. From taking care of bandits to jumping into a flaming village, Raldri has inadvertently began to mend his tainted reputation.
