Life is simple for Lysa. There is a clear line that leads her from what she wants to how she'll get it, as clear as the simple markings on her pelt. All it asks her to do is follow it.
So she has.
Throughout her life, Lysa has been puzzled by other vargs' qualms. The answer to most questions she's faced is simple, so long as one is willing to get their paws a bit dirty. From pups that were intent on bullying her to those who bemoan her tactics and implore her to try things their way, Lysa's answer to them has always been simple: get out of my way, or I will walk over you.
But Lysa is not a violent felvarg. While she certainly will defend herself, her weapon of choice is not a blade, but the ruinous power of a rumor. Those who refuse to bend to her will might just as easily find themselves as the mercy of those they once called friends or confidantes. As Lysa has found, a whisper of doubt and a couple well-placed hints are all it takes; doubt and cynicism are powerful tools when wielded properly.
Perhaps one would expect her to be cruel and cold in day-to-day life. While Lysa can certainly come off as serious or overly thoughtful, she is generally laid-back and pleasant company. Unburdened by questions of grey areas and morality, the bright line that directs her life has freed her of all responsibility. A life with no bigger questions left to answer is a peaceful life.

HISTORY
Born to a skittish mother and a non-present father, Lysa learned early that she would have to step up. Her first scuffle broke out when she was barely walking. One of the other pups let slip a pointed comment about Lysa's mother, and so she pounced. The scuffle ended with a piece of the other pup's ear missing, and a chastised Lysa learning a much different lesson from the one she was meant to: that if she wanted to get her way, she couldn't be caught. From that day forward, Lysa became sneakier and far more clever. Her guardians assumed she had mellowed out, when that was far from the truth. She simply ensured no pup would ever tell on her again, holding their own secrets over them like a threat. Once she was old enough, she simply left. All the other pups breathed a sigh of relief when she vanished over the hills, following her guiding line.
