Skälmeri has spent life getting into trouble. He's had a pattern of doing things that will definitely cause trouble, albeit harmless trouble, and then feeling sheepish and bashful about the results. Once, he tipped over the whole chicken coop. The chickens had panicked in a flurry of feathers, all of the eggs had been broken, and Skälmeri had fallen over laughing....until the Elders came to see what the commotion was.
Beyond that though, Skälmeri is fiercely loyal. Once you are one of his, no one can hurt you without going through him first. It takes him a little bit to warm up, but once he does you won't find anyone more dependable or warmer ally. He stayed with his group for as long as the elders allowed, but eventually it was decided that he needed to go out into the world because the Elders felt this was the only way he would ever grow up. At the time, Skälmeri was upset and hurt, but over time he came to agree with them.
The now wiser, but no less playful Felvarg has become a formidable foe, an irreplaceable ally, and the most loyal and kind friend you could ever hope to have.
