Bartholomew is a sweet natured Natt who cares for everyone around him before he cares for himself. He is sensitive to their emotions, particularly negative ones, and starts to shut down when things get angry or tense. Barthy is a one who can not stomach violence, one who is there to heal rather than hurt. He helps others without asking for anything in return, his kindness coming from a sincere place in his heart. Bartholomew will always help others in need, even if it means risking himself.

History

Bartholomew is the former crown prince of the Kingdom of Somnum. Born to Chasm Syndrome Mendacium and Fatima Rusalka Mendacium, he learned early on that life is not always sunshine and rainbows. Neglected by his father, Barthy and his sister Prism grew close, having only each other to rely on. When he became older and others began vying for the throne, Bartholomew became the target of a cruel and unrelenting man by the name of Hawker. After some time of suffering silently, Bartholomew meets William.

William is a man unlike any other that Bartholomew has met so far. The knight swears to protect him and keep him safe, proving himself through both action and vow. Unbeknownst to Bartholomew and William, Prism mistakes their bond as her brother replacing her, and she becomes the next target of Hawker...

One day when returning from gathering herbs, Bartholomew and William find the kingdom in a state of chaos. William leaves to investigate, leaving Bartholomew behind. When he does not return, Barthy leaves and runs into the "twins" known as Ravyn and Krow. During this time Barthy discovers his sister's instability, and becomes afraid of her. Ravyn and Krow keep him safe until William makes a return.

William keeps Bartholomew safe as he begins to build a new life. Along the way he meets different friends, opening up and becoming less anxious than he had been after first leaving the kingdom. To Bartholomew's surprise, (and initial horror) he has a knack for finding Runes of Creation. His will to provide life is strong, resulting in not one, not two, but the eventual creation of five children that now share a home with William and himself.

After several tense encounters with his sister, Bartholomew decides to try and trust her. He can see that she is trying to change herself, though struggling, and wants to help where he can.

He has also set up a family pack, Hīringu, and continues to live in Skalaness where he aids others as a healer.
