Amare was raised alongside many other puppies in the grove. As peaceful as the grove was, Amare never really felt happy there as she always wanted to be out exploring the world. She set the personal goal at a young age to leave the grove as soon as possible, and as a result all of her energy was spent learning and doing new things. Amare was very outgoing, and she made several friends who would challenge each other to small competitions and often wandered off on new adventures. Amare ended up succeeding in her goal, proving herself to be ready for whatever the world had to offer at a younger age than most, and she set out during her mid-teen years.

After setting out, Amare had little desire to find a place to settle down in, so she spent her days wandering instead and she picked up many odd jobs on her travels. She greatly enjoyed tracking creatures, and the thrill of a good fight that would result in that night’s dinner, and a pelt to sell next time she visited the market.

One day, she heard rumor of Hverfa attacking fels passing on a trail near the Seat of the Alpha, so she brashly set out to try and force Hverfa to stop all on her own. Amare managed to win this fight, and the great snow leopard allowed her to pass through the fog with her memories intact. After this fight, and a following fight with a beastly trio of foxes who enjoy stealing items from anyfel who passes by, Amare set the personal goal of taming or defeating each of the great beasts.

Sometime after Amare had set this goal, she had been walking along a crossroad and ran into a familiar face who she had forgotten from her pup-years, a silver fel named Icicle. She and Icicle spent the rest of the day catching up, and eventually struck up a friendship. After this, the two of them would frequently meet up to hunt, share a meal or two and catch up, then split up again.

As time went on, Amare eventually started to catch feelings for Icicle, and she summoned up enough courage to ask him out, he reciprocated her feelings and the two of them got together. They stayed together for many years, and eventually had and raised a litter of three puppies named Pheasant, Wren and Moss. After their puppies had grown up and moved out, Amare and Icicle spent a few more months living together in the home that they had raised their pups in. During this time, Amare found a raven and she thought it would be funny to feed it. After this, it started to follow her around and wouldn’t go away, so she named it Stormy and it became her pet bird. Amare and Icicle eventually separated on good terms, and Amare returned to her life of wandering.

Soon after they had separated, Amare heard word of a dragon named Sindridva causing trouble for sea-faring fels. Amare decided to set out to help defeat this beast, but during the fight she received a massive shoulder injury that meant she had to return home and seek out medical treatment. On her way back to Ulfrheim, she ended up on a ship with a pair of soulmated alphas, who she struck up a conversation with to try and learn more about this fabled connection.

Amare had heard stories of soulmates, but she was never really sure how much of it she believed. She had known fels with a strong enough connection that they would know things about the other that didn’t seem possible, such as where they were at all times and what they were thinking/feeling, but those fels could just have a really strong intuition and know their partner really well. After all, she and Icicle had during the later years of their relationship been able to guess fairly accurately where the other one was and what they were feeling at any given time, but that didn’t necessarily mean they were soulmates! She talked with the two alphas and asked them how they discovered that they were soulmates, and she found that their connection was similar to her connection with Icicle. Amare told them about her and Icicle’s bond, and together they figured out that Amare and Icy were soulmates.

When Amare returned to Ulfrheim, she sought out Icicle and told him that she suspected they were soulmates. Icicle admitted that he had been suspecting the same thing and they got back together. Amare and Icicle have been nearly inseparable ever since, and can usually be found exploring the vast lands of Ulfrheim together.

Amare and Icicle knew each other as puppies, but they weren’t very close. The two of them were complete opposites and didn’t have much of anything in common so they never really spent time together. Amare ended up leaving the grove behind early, and she expected to never again see most of the puppies that she had grown up with. Many, many years later she ran into Icicle randomly at a crossroad. The two of them spent some time catching up and found each other’s company enjoyable, as opposed to the awkwardness from puphood. After they parted ways, they kept running into each other at random places. They found these coincidences funny, and eventually started up a friendship, which blossomed into a romance and led to them raising a litter together. After their puppies had grown up, the two of them parted ways, as nearly all felvarg couples do. While apart, the two of them separately realized that their connection was identical to how soulmated fels describe their connections to their soulmates, and the two of them sought each other out again. Nowadays, Amare and Icicle are nearly inseparable, and they spend their days exploring the lands of Ulfrheim together.
