Elsinore, at first, is very reserved and cold, seeming pompous as he holds his chin high. He would give a judgemental stare to anyone who approaches him and moves away, no matter what he was previously doing. If one happened to fall beside him, Elsinore would merely huff and still move elsewhere. Maybe except if they're a pup. Then he'd help. He's not that cold. Elsinore is one to not respond if someone he isn't familiar with attempts to hold a conversation. It's not a matter being selectively mute. He just doesn't want to talk to them. Why is he like this? Well, you can't have bad social experiences if you don't have them at all. Elsinore wants himself to be known in a good light and if he can't, then he'd rather be known in no light at all. He doesn't mind being known as the unapproachable type, because that means fewer beings for him to mess up around. He is afraid of making major mistakes and being cast as a failure. Elsinore knows he can't be the best, but he's working hard to be the closest that he can be. His guard will be lowered and he will warm up when he recognizes when it'll be okay to slip up around someone. Elsinore would change to a more daring being, trying out whatever he can. He's also very talkative since he finds interest in a lot of things such as the things one simply does or even by its mere appearance. A slow-moving snail? He can make it sound like the most important and thoughtful being in the world. A generic dandelion? He'd talk about how it's his most favorite flower. Elsinore gets frightened easily if he feels as though one is angered towards him or irritated by a mistake he made. It's the fastest way to get back to square one in a relationship with him. Positive feedback isn't required, but each one would make him puff up with joy and pride. Unfortunately, Elsinore keeps all of his relationships shallow so that it's easy for him to break away. To manage to bypass that and make something deeper, he honestly wouldn't know what to do. He'd do anything he can to be worth the trust he's been given: accompany journeys, protect, keep alive, name it. He will be there for you.
