As an orphanage den-mother, Neera has seen many a young pup leave her care and grow up to life successful lives. She is patient, mothering, and kind, though is also stern, well-disciplined, and has high expectations of the young she helps to raise. She praises hard work over success, and does her best to instil a sense of pride and self-respect. ----- Before Loki's war Neraiya was a blacksmith, forging weapons and armor to fight against the mad god's titans. She was a well known smith and highly respected for her craft. Despite her own titan heritage, she fought well for Freyja, looking to put an end to the fighting. Word of her efforts to supply Freyja's soldiers spread far, to Loki's army itself, and when she returned home one day Neraiya found her home razed to the ground. Her children, three pups barely six years old, lay sprawled before the burnt rubble with their throats slit and a warning carved into the dirt in blood. Neraiya fell into a state of deep mourning, shutting herself away in the back room of her sister's home. She was not heard from for weeks. Then one day, she disappeared. Six weeks later she returned, covered in blood with the head of the titan responsible for her children's death at her feet. It was done. Yet the revenge did not stop her pain. Torn with regret and shattered by grief, Neraiya sought Freyja's counsel. The wise goddess sent the grieving mother on a quest, and so with the white Felvarg's guidance Neraiya pushed through her grief and did her part to save Ulfrheim from Loki's cruelty. Since then Neraiya has dedicated herself to helping orphans from the war. Standard, titan, brute, or dwarf. They are all children in her eyes. She will never forget the sacrifice of her own though, and wears blue paint across her face as a reminder, and as a symbol of a mother's endless tears.
