Keijo's Sleeve

As The Broken Wheel fell quiet you felt tension in the air. Fenrir gave a stiff, curt nod as Hel looked to him with her head held high. “Ylva has told me of an incantation you wish to speak with me about,” Hel inquired. For a heartbeat, Fenrir held an intense gaze on Hel. Surely he could trust Ylva, yet here Hel stood before him as he presented subtle conflictions of her judgment. You watch as Freyja leans ever so closer to Fenrir, giving the reassurance everyfel needed to break the silence and begin. “Let us discuss,” she spoke with a soft tone of urgency. As the Alphas crowd around one another in a tight circle, they began whispering in quick succession. With a wave of her tail, Ylva dismisses you. You take your leave to give them space, trailing to the outside of the Broken Wheel. Your mind drifts to the captivating book that was full of information that would take days of study. What could the elemental symbols mean? Your mind reeled at the possibilities, your fur standing on end at the thought of such powerful dark magic.

With a small jolt, you are pulled from your deep thoughts as Fenrir rushes to catch up to you. His expression was unreadable, his eyes didn’t dare betray what his own mind was racing about. “As I was saying before,” Fenrir began, “I ask for one more favor.” Fenrir brings out the book he had shown you prior, as well as a book from his own personal collection. “You will need to traverse to the northern regions of the Village of Skalaness and locate a library by the name of Keijo's Sleeve,” he said as gestured for you to take the books. You tilt your head, taking the books within your paws as Fenrir continues to explain. “There at Keijo’s Sleeve you will need to search for books of each of the individual elements; Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Death, Life, Shadow, Light, and Time.” He pressed on the two books in your paws, “These are so that you are granted access to the library. The keeper is not one to let go of his artifacts easily, a trade of equal value is required. I am certain he would gladly add these to his collection.” You nod in understanding, it was said that the locals had high respect for the library owner. Your paws tingled at the thought of stepping paw in the very place.

Wasting no time, you head to Keijo’s Sleeve. Sticking your head in the many dimly lit alley’s, you finally come across the one that leads to the tight corridor that hosts Keijo’s Sleeve. The musty smell of books and parchment floods your nostrils, the very sight of the many shelves full of relics was inspiring, yet daunting. Before you could get any closer, a small dwarf with a long beard appeared at your paws. With a gruff clear of his throat, he narrows his eyes at you. “The names Keijo, and you?” he grunted as he busied himself with the many scrolls in his paws. Before you could utter your name, you see that he’s inspecting the two books you possessed, his ears twitching with great interest as he exclaimed, “Ah, now where does somefel like you find such books!” Before trading the books off to Keijo, you sit and explain the situation.

“You need to borrow 9 books, each for a unique element?” Keijo sat stroking his beard, pondering about lending out so many books. You nod your head eagerly and leaned forward with anticipation as the seconds drew on. “You will find them here, each tucked away in their respective spot,” he spoke in a matter of fact tone, clearly proud of his organization skills. “However, I have much to do and cannot assist,” Keijo grumbled as he quickly tucked away the two books that you had given to him. With a wave of his paw, he sends you off into his library. “Be swift, and careful!” he barked back at you as he disappeared behind a curtain down a corridor. As the soft sound of rain started to patter just outside, you stood there amongst the many towering shelves, your fur prickling uneasily. It was time to start your search for the 9 individual books.

Mermaid's Bubble

As the sun began to dip below the horizon, casting the waters of Ulfrheim in a warm golden glow, Uhma stood at the edge of the cliff overlooking the sea. The waves crashed rhythmically against the rocky shore, the sound of their roar filling the air. Her eyes gleamed with determination, a spark of excitement dancing in their depths. She had spent weeks perfecting the Mermaid’s Bubble spell, a magic that would allow Felvargs to breathe underwater by encasing their heads in a bubble of air. The implications were thrilling—exploring the ocean’s depths, discovering hidden treasures, and perhaps even encountering creatures never before seen by Felvarg eyes. But the spell was untested, and Uhma’s eyes held a mixture of hope and wariness. She needed volunteers—bold Felvargs who could look the unknown in the face and trust her magic to hold. The sound of approaching paws pulled her from her thoughts. When she turned, she was met with the sight of Felvargs gathering, each one drawn to the ocean for their own reasons, each one curious about what lay beneath the surface.

It was then that your Felvarg stepped forward, curiosity gleaming in your eyes, tempered with a hint of trepidation. The chance to be among the first to explore those depths, to venture where no Felvarg had gone before, was a temptation too great to resist. Uhma’s gaze fixed on you, and with a soft, encouraging nod, she began to cast the spell. You felt the familiar warmth of magic encircle your head, a gentle tingle that spread across your snout as the bubble of air formed around you. It was an odd sensation, like the embrace of a breeze underwater, but the magic was steady, the bubble secure. The world outside the bubble grew muted, the roar of the waves reduced to a soft murmur as if you were listening to the ocean’s heartbeat from within.

With Uhma’s steady gaze on you, you took a deep breath, filling your lungs with air that tasted of the sea, and then you leaped. The moment your body hit the water, you were enveloped in its cool embrace, and for a heartbeat, everything was still. The shock of the cold, the sudden silence as the water closed over your head—it was like entering a different world. You hovered there, suspended between the surface and the abyss, and for a brief moment, doubt crept in. But Uhma’s magic held, and with a powerful stroke, you propelled yourself downward, deeper into the heart of the ocean.

But as you delved further into the ocean’s embrace, you felt the bubble around your head shudder—just for an instant. A flicker of magic, a moment where the air thinned, and your heart skipped a beat. But just as quickly as it faltered, the bubble reformed, solid and reassuring. Panic hovered at the edges of your thoughts, but you pushed it away, trusting in Uhma’s spell, in the magic that had brought you this far. Was it a mere hiccup, the spell adjusting to the pressure of the deep? Or was there something more at play, a force testing the limits of your resolve? Would you continue, placing your faith in the magic and your own strength, or would the flicker of uncertainty drive you back to the safety of the surface? The ocean’s depths are filled with both beauty and peril, and each choice you make could lead you to wondrous discoveries—or into the grasp of the unknown.

Objective:

Depict or write your Felvarg exploring the seas with the bubble of air around their head, or quickly returning to the surface in fears of the spell failing.

Reward:

1x Sunken Treasure, 1x Tangled Rope, 1x Precious Gems, 1x Turtle Shell, 50% chance for 1x Trident.

The Trio

Haldor’s Pass, once a bustling thoroughfare for travelers and traders alike, has fallen silent. A heavy, unnatural stillness hangs in the air, broken only by the occasional rustle of leaves. The usual sounds of bustling caravans, chattering Felvargs, and the chirping of birds have all but vanished. It wasn’t always like this. The Pass was once the safest and quickest route through the treacherous mountains of Ulfrheim, a lifeline connecting distant settlements. But now, an ominous darkness has taken hold, casting long shadows over the path.

The reason for this change is whispered in fearful tones: The Trio.

The Trio are no ordinary foxes. They were once a mischievous but relatively harmless band, known for their clever tricks and knack for pilfering food from unsuspecting travelers. The group were legends in their own right, notorious for their pranks that, while annoying, never caused real harm. However, all of that changed when they stumbled upon a relic belonging to Ursa. The relic was an ancient, weathered stone, carved with mysterious runes and radiating a cold, dark energy. It had been sealed away in a hidden cave deep within the mountains, protected by powerful wards to prevent it from falling into the wrong paws. But the Trio, driven by their insatiable curiosity and a bit of greed, managed to bypass the wards and steal the relic. What they didn’t realize was that the relic was cursed.

As soon as they touched the stone, the curse took hold, warping their minds and bodies. The red fox’s eyes now glow with a fiery, unnatural light, filled with rage and malice. The silver fox’s once sleek, beautiful coat is now mottled with patches of black and grey, as if the very essence of life is being drained from it. The melanistic fox, already dark as night, has become a living shadow, its form barely distinguishable from the darkness around it. Driven mad by the curse, the Trio have become feral, viciously attacking anyfel who dares to enter Haldor’s Pass. Their attacks are swift, brutal, and merciless, leaving behind nothing but fear and bloodshed. The once safe passage has become a death trap, with the few who survive their encounters with the Trio returning with tales of glowing eyes, shadows that move on their own, and the bone-chilling sounds of growls echoing through the mountains.

The alphas of the nearby villages have tried to send hunters and warriors to reclaim the Pass, but none have succeeded. The Trio are too clever, too fast, and too powerful, the curse giving them unnatural strength and agility. Even the bravest Felvargs hesitate to venture near Haldor’s Pass, knowing that they might not return.

Ursa is furious. The relic was never meant to be disturbed, and the curse was a punishment for those who sought to wield its power for themselves. But the Trio’s actions have brought chaos and death to the mountains, and Ursa’s wrath is growing. The only way to end the curse is to return the relic to its rightful place, deep within the cave where it was found. But to do so, someone must brave Haldor’s Pass, confront the cursed foxes, and survive the encounter. The call has gone out to the bravest and most cunning Felvargs of Ulfrheim. Who will answer? Will they be able to defeat the cursed Trio and restore peace to the mountains? Or will they fall like so many others before them, leaving Haldor’s Pass to remain a place of death and despair? The fate of the Pass, and perhaps all of Ulfrheim, hangs in the balance.

Objective:

Depict or Write your Felvarg fighting through the Trio to obtain and return the cursed relic. The relic cannot be touched, otherwise the curse will consume you as well.
