A nomadic group of herders, shepherds and all other things livestock.

While the Hiðir focuses on livestock, there are a handful of other counterparts as well. Not all are accustomed to watching sheep all day and food in the crock pot at the end of the day is just as important. As are those who scout safe pastures ahead of the herds and those who keep the falcons with important messages in the sky.

While herding livestock may sound easy, there can also be a lot of challenges.

Living on open fields has its downsides when storm rumble and earth starts to slide down mountains. Thieves and predators are always lurking somewhere. Sickness and wounds are seldom easy to treat in the field.
