As a pup and young teen, Brynja was a brave and outspoken fel. She was often seen training with her mother Reyka, and she was raised to be a loyal and capable member of the Black Daggers.
Early on in her puphood, her father died due to a longstanding chronic illness. Although she didn’t realize it at the time, this marked a turning point that led her mother down a path of disagreement with the current alpha of the Black Daggers, Alkore, who Reyka blamed for indirectly causing her mate’s death, and for allowing the reputation of the pack to plummet during his time as leader.
Although Reyka was civil with Alkore for most of Brynja’s childhood, their differences eventually boiled over into full blown arguments, with Reyka and Brynja leaving the pack a few days after a particularly bad one.
Both mother and daughter disappeared during this time, and almost a full year later Brynja turned up alone, scarred and refusing to talk about what had happened to her, or where her mother was. She is far more cautious and quiet nowadays, though will still speak up when she feels she must. She is highly driven to do what is right, and she deeply wishes to see the Black Daggers brought back to their former glory.
