History
The shepherd of the stars, Aurvandill, is a powerful titan of old which herds the souls of the fallen to the heavens. It is here where they can forget all their woes and rest their weary eyes. The final journey any felvarg will make. To be granted a place among the skies above, to be blessed by Aurvandill so that their soul may become a Soul-Star... an eternal light, it is truly a blessing. Aurvandill is not selective with who he ushers on, even the darkest of souls have a home... but some choose to give the titan the slip and hide themselves among the shadows. Leaving souls to wander the mortal plain is dangerous should they carry any burdens, it can twist and warp them into fiends of nightmare and they become prime targets for any felvarg bold enough to work with dark magics.

When first pulled away by the whispers of an unknown force, carried on wind felt only by the dead, many souls are confused and fight it. Aurvandill's soothing voice, words weaved with magic, helps these souls come to terms with the end. Most accept their blessing without a fuss, but some cry out for those left behind. Their souls torn between what they want and what should be done, and sometimes... during such a fight, bits of their soul break free and hurtle back towards the earth. To any living onlooker, they would describe these as 'falling stars', but Aurvandill never lets his stars fall. Once they are placed, it is there they will stay, entering an eternal slumber.

Everything one sees in the heavens is the result of Aurvandill's magic. Star constilations? The 'Milky Way'. He is always moving his Soul-Stars around, even though they are asleep an cannot appreciate such views, it is mostly due to his own boredom. Being a sentient being among millions of sleeping souls can be quiet. When souls that belonged to ones of great importance or acheivements enter his realm, Aurvandill deems it is a time of great celebration. So as he dips down to the living realm to gather this soul, he paints the sky with his mighty breath in dancing rays of blues and greens and dances among it's light. It is a wonder to behold, this 'aurora borealis' as it is called. If one looked close enough, they might have seen his ghostly form shimmering in the light.

When among the presence of great power, there will always be ones greedy enough to reach out and take it. Souls carry an immense amount of energies and magic, and in the wrong hands can be used to fuel evil actions. It is why Aurvandill is so adament about shepherding these souls away, out of reach of such greed. Take away the shepherd; however, and the wolf now has free reign over the flock.

One by one, Soul-Stars are stirring, the magics that weaved its way through the heavens keeping these souls slumbering was dwindling. There were no heavenly winds to move the sky, no breath of light to celebrate with. Their constant whispers of confusing slowly wake more and more souls from slumber, they seek a guardian no longer there. Something... or someone, has stolen their shepherd.

Bound and lost in darkness, Aurvandill seeks rescue. With all his strength he granted a worthy soul their only wish, to live once more. This soul hurtled across the sky, a firey orb of blue flames as it crashed deep into the Melrakki forest. Why there? Something bound Aurvandill to this realm, he could feel rements of his magic coming from the forest as well as several other locations unknown to him. He could only hope this soul and his friends would find them.
