Howl is quite the peculiar creature. The largest Hellhound and Titan to walk the Islands yet known to be the most docile, unless provoked of course. This beast has yet to be heard, some saying his voice was taken from him by force, a curse as rumor has it. Stories speak of a Titan Hellhound who found a way for Helvallians to travel to and from their Island, silenced by Loki's greatest witches in an attempt to hold the Island within his clutches. Howl is loyal to no one bar one single breathing creature, a Felvarg known as Aria. While quiet and reserved, the beast has a wonderfully giant heart, and to those he choses to spend his time with, he is a giant teddy bear. Often Felvarg will bring howl Helvallian mushrooms in exchange for rare and extremely prized goods the beast seems to always have tucked away. He then provides Helvallians with the imbued mushrooms which allow them the ability to live off of the Island safely without perishing. Despite never speaking words, Howl is most know for exactly what his name might imply, his powerful and illuminating howl, which can often be heard hundreds of miles away from its release point. To howl with Howl is a great honor he only bestows upon those he respects greatly. Should the beast bow before you, you can be certain he would lay his life down for you, through blood and honor. Tales say Howl can hear Aria's cries from most anywhere, his ability to track her is truly impressive. Her aura perhaps? Scent? Some even say Howl had imprinted on Aria, giving her part of his own soul and binding the two together, a power only gods in this world possess, making it so one couldn't possibly exist without the other. Whatever the cause may be, Felvarg far and wide should be cautious when threatening the small creature known as Aria, for Howl is never far and most certainly not to be trifled with.
