Cass was born on the island of Jormungandr, and like many new pups born to that island she was rather unwanted as she was another disappointing reminder that they were nothing more than beasts now, no longer human as they once had been. She had learned stealth as she learned to walk, hiding from family and strangers alike for fear of them lashing out at her for being living proof of their curse refusing to let up. Cass dreamed of adventure, seeing places she had never been before and being able to explore them openly without having to creep through the shadows. She did what little adventuring she could do while sneaking, and one day it turned out to be a bit more than she had bargained for as she snuck aboard a ship to investigate only to have it start sailing away with her on board! The young pup was terrified and hid belowdecks until Ivory discovered her, telling her he would take her to a whole new world where she need never live in fear again. That world had been Ulfrheim, and Ivory was as good as his word - he took her with him all the way back to his home in Hlif-Vindr pack and settled Cass in there with his own family, choosing to adopt the poor scared pup with his mate Izzy as one of their own. Timid but always hungry for new adventures, Cass still finds herself creeping about from time to time as if she were back on Jormungandr despite the warmth and welcome that everyone on Ulfrheim has offered her since she arrived.
