Personality:

Ruto did not have an easy upbringing by any means. Her mother provided the bare minimum of care for her children, having been young and inexperienced, and thus Ruto was seriously lacking in emotional care. Her unattended emotional needs quickly turned to bitterness toward her mother and a drive to be fiercely independent. These qualities carried on to her adulthood, and for the better part of her life, Ruto was incredibly unhappy. She had trouble connecting with others and often pushed them away. Though she has begun to overcome these aspects of her personality after reconciling with her mother she still has difficulty accepting help from those around her. She tends to be competitive and oftentimes comes off as standoffish or unapproachable. Despite her faults, Ruto can be a irreplaceable companion. She is incredibly loyal to those she trusts and would gladly lay her life down without hesitation for anyone in her pack or those special few she considers friends. Though she often refuses help herself she has no qualms with aiding those in need. Her pack has helped her grow and hone her skills, and she has become happier as a result. She considers herself to be a skilled fisher and spends a majority of her time out at sea. She is an avid collector and has a love for all things bright and shiny. It's no secret that Ruto has a soft spot for mead and wine, and perhaps if you offer her some, she might just show you the vast collection of drinking horns that she has acquired from her numerous fishing adventures.
