Being born deaf never bothered Flower, as how can one miss something they never had? Despite being deaf, he doesn't live his life in complete silence. He has his thoughts to keep him company. Perhaps being deaf brings him closer to the world around him then other Felvargs. He may not be able to hear the birds sing, or the crickets chirp, but he can see and smell them with greater ease then most others. He finds communicating with others to be difficult, as he can't understand what they are trying to tell him, so he'll zone out and ignore them, choosing to instead watch that bird fluttering about. He enjoys watching smaller critters going about their lives, but despite this, he has no issue hunting them, as he does need to eat. He can often be seen hanging around lakes, watching others come for a drink, or just watching the water itself.
