She walked with you over to the nearby fire and sat with you while you both brewed a fresh pot. As your cup was ready, she gently pawed over your cup first before serving herself, "It would be pleasant if we did not go so long before meeting again."
The village of Norn’s Weave was bustling, even during the height of
summer. Snowdhal had been trapped in an icy expanse for so long that
she’d almost forgotten what it felt like for her pelt to be practically
on fire from the warmth of the sun. She couldn’t decide if she missed it
or not. Even sitting in the shade did little to dull the heat, but
still Dahlia worked tirelessly over her newest writing of the
yggdravixen’s trials and tribulations in their return to Helvalla. She
was meant to be taking offerings today, but she was running late to the
community square in which the offerings would be held. What she didn’t
know was that somefel had been sent to summon her. You knocked on her
door with apprehension, wondering what this newer alpha would be like,
and she called out from within to wait for a moment before getting to
her paws and letting you inside. You breathed in the mildly cooler air,
watching her as she gave you a smile as warm as the summer sun. “Good
morning! What can I do for you?” After you’d explained that you were
there to fetch her, her entire expression changed and she gasped
sharply. “Oh, I forgot! Please, take a seat and let me gather my
things.” You sat down awkwardly, your satchel hanging across your side,
and the scroll of peace you’d brought to give her tumbled to the floor.
Dahlia jumped to grab it. “Oops! Here you go! …oh, this is for me?” She
unfurled the scroll, her eyes widening as she beheld the script. “This
is wonderful! It appears as though it’s the initial plans for Norn’s
Weave before it truly became the village that it is today. We might be
able to still make use of this!” She smiled, clutching it close to her
chest with one paw. “Invaluable knowledge. I thank you kindly for this
gift, my friend.” Turning, she began to rummage through her things,
letting out a soft aha as she found what she was looking for. “Take this
in return. It may hold a bit more value to you than what you gave me,
but I can stand to part with it.” She placed a scroll of mastery
in your paw, closing her own over it. “It should help guide you on your
journey. Thank you for visiting me. Now let’s hurry and get to the
square!”
