Lead by the brave and powerful Nar, the Faegir clan is made up of well seasoned warriors and battlemasters big and small. Faegir has it all, brains, brawn and rustic good lucks as well as a mean knowledge for all imaginable weapons. Nar instills within his band of Felvargs that war is not to be feared, nor is it to be glorified; it is simply to be expected and it is his given duty to prepare those who will listen to what he believes is the inevitable. The warrior king opens his arms to any willing to prepare themselves for disputes to come, those who embrace the fact that war made them the beasts they are today. Nar believes he needs to prepare himself and his loyal clan for an upcoming war in which the blood curse placed upon them by the spiteful God Loki will be broken, returning them to their true human forms. Surely this is just a myth, but it is something the clan believe in strongly.
    • "Strength is all well and good, but a felvarg should also know how to lose graciously. Prove to me you can lose and still be respectful."

    • Nar nods you over eagerly, "You there!" His voice is stern and confident, "We have been tasked with tracking a beast across the pond, but this particular beast has a keen scent. It will smell us a mile off." Nar seems to take a moment to ponder, "Fetch us some Garlic and a Mortar Bowl, this should help us mask our scent."

    • You see Nar pacing upon the shoreline tasking Felvargs to return supplies to a nearby ship that has been damaged. This particular ship is used to scout the local shores for approaching dangers. Eagerly you approach him, and eagerly Nar provides you with a list of necessary parts to aid in the ship's repair. Bring the parts Nar needs to hopefully increase his trust in you.

    • The frigid nights close in and Nar will not standby as his pack battles the cold unprepared. Other Felvargs may whimper away from such a task but Nar believes his clan is more than capable of such a challenge. Everyfel within his ranks has contributed to the chilling grip of winter. It seems he expects no different from you based on how he studies you curiously before the campfire. Traverse the lands in search of three Heavy Hides to contribute to Nar and the clan you hope someday to be respected within.

    • Nar walks beside you as each step he takes beams with pride, he never makes eye contact with you but still his words burn right through you, "We are many, Friend. Strong, prepared, and strategic if nothing else." You trot a few beats to keep up with Nar's confident stride, "There are traps surrounding the village, but we dare not supply them with meat we have gathered to feed our own. These parts are not safe to those who travel alone and so there is plenty of rotten meat to use as bait instead." Nar had a good point. Bring Nar five Rotten Meat Scraps, so that you can spring Faegir's traps.

    • You see Nar and a few other Felvargs huddled together as they debate fluidly. They are speaking of a Felvarg named Ovkar and Nar seems to believe this very Felvarg who has not been seen for hundreds of years once commanded an ancient and revered war beast known as Orvar. As an outsider your worth seems to be challenged more so than most, "Rumors say he used a walking stick and without it the beast Orvar would defy him," Nar narrows his eyes curiously at you, "They say it's top is carved in the shape of a dragon wielding the power Ovkar used to command Orvar. Surely you've heard of this story given it originates from your homeland?" You have a sudden moment of realization, you have seen this very walking stick for sale within The Clay Carriage in Sandfel. Real or fake bring Nar this ultimate gift to attempt to earn his favor. Even if you were raised to see it as a mere campfire story.

    • You trot into camp and you are immediately met with chaos, hellhounds have arranged an attack in an attempt to steal resources Nar and his pack had gathered. Taken by surprise but equally equipped to handle such a strike, Nar takes on 3 large hellhounds in the camp's center and despite being a mere dwarf he handles his own. Just as Nar wards off two of the beasts the third sneaks up on him, as Nar turns it is far too late to react but you find the bravery to leap upon and kick the hellhound disrupting his blow upon Nar. Nar is impressed by your bravery, and for the first time he lowers his head to you in thanks. What an honor to have Nar bow before you, it takes you a moment but then you realize the entire clan too has lowered their heads. You most definitely impressed Nar today.

    • "Urgh. The rain makes my joints ache, but I need to deliver an important message. You do not mind a little cold, damp weather, do you? Travel there and report back with their response."Nar notices you sat before the campfire as you take a moment to yourself. He approaches you with pride and honor as he places his figure beside you, Youve proven to be a worthy asset to Faegir. Nar waves a paw daringly over the bursting flames are they roar before the two of you, To really be apart of Faegir and respected by Faegir you must be first comfortable traversing our home, Jormundandr, alone. Nar places a leather parchment holder beside you without making contact, In the northern most parts of this Island you will find a hut erected in isolation. Deliver this package there and then return with the package youll find waiting for you on the doorstep. Nar stands up and turns to walk away from you, but not without first leaving you with one last slice of advice, I wouldnt knock if I were you fel, even us war dwellers know when not to pick a fight.

    • "Tea is not just for steeping Fel," Nar walks alongside you as he demands your attention, "It's also an anti-inflammatory and more times than not it has saved my life." Nar pauses to glance at you curious if the expression on your face is one of confusion or disbelief. "Us Faegir never pass up any form of tea bush, regardless of its origin they all share their healing properties you see." Nar continues to walk now as his words tapir off, "You would be wise to do the same and should you find yourself with it in abundance, well our stock could always use another pawful."

    • You recall the campfire stories Faegir had spoken of Isa during your time spent alongside them. A shadow in even the darkest of nights they said. The greatest assassin Faegir had ever hired others repeated. So when you see Isa sitting alongside a lake near the shores of Jormungandr you cannot help but strike up a conversation with her. The female seems submissive and rather tame given the stories you had been told, but it doesnt take the conversation long for Isa to disclose she put that life behind her. After you show interest in her trade Isa insists she can share with you a trick of her trade. 7 Letters - stealth and Isa swears by them.

    • Nar is overlooking his camp when you approach. "Say... does this look a little bland to you?" He doesn't give you a chance to respond before answering his own question. "I think we need some more decor around here. Something daunting that shows we mean business!"

    • "Shh, no questions! You want to prove yourself to me, eh? There is something I have been wanting. I have heard about a potion that never fails to surprise even the most jaded souls. Green glass bottle, terrible taste. You drink it and wake up somewhere random. Have you tried one before? Bring one here, will you?"

    • "Hey! I have come up with a perfect money-making scheme. Have you heard of Varglotto? Yes, just buy 10 tickets. Trust me! You will win for sure." There is a suspicious glint in his eyes. You get the feeling he is trying to get you in trouble.

    • "Ahh, foxes. Crafty things, do you agree? I would wager that the foxes here are much brighter than any you have hunted in Ulfrheim. Bring some of your pelts here and we can compare their colors."

    • "One of my fellow royals has a shipment of goods traveling the paths of the island. They have been a thorn in my side for longer than I can remember. I would not be upset if that courier had a little accident, if you get my meaning. Nothing serious! Just a little prank. If the goods made their way here instead of to them, well, I would not exactly mind that either..."

    • You come across Nar out in the middle of the woods, crouching behind a fallen log. "Good, you're here. Do you have an Eye Mutation, by any chance?" You look up to see Jera wandering around nearby, picking flowers peacefully. "Come on, hand it over! I just want to give her a little scare."

    • It takes a great deal of bravery to challenge those skilled Felvargs you hunt beside. Friend or foe, defeat or succeed your nature to continue to battle despite your failures or successes, as they do not speak for who you are as a Felvarg. Prove to me you have what it takes!

    • "I've got a great idea to trick Starkir. I just need some rotten eggs. They won't be so high and mighty when they stink, now will they? But you'll help me, right?"

    • Nar is looking upwards, a hawk soaring high above him. "Magnificent, aren't they? I've always wanted one as a companion... They are great for scouting up ahead. Do you know anything about hatching them?" Nar turns to you, his eyes eager for help.

    • "I snuck into Ulfrheim last night, word of a black market on the shores of Hearth drew my gaze. I located a rare item, however the winning bid was 6,000 Felcredits. What are those? Lend.. well... give them to me, friend, and I will owe you a favor."

    • "Opals have got to be the nicest stones out there. Have you ever seen those fractured pieces we have around here? They are so shiny, so many different colors. I hear that Starkir's guards likes 'em too. In fact, she hoards them all when her little warrior friends find 'em. Well I want some too! I know that one of her guards carries a little pouch of them. Maybe if you best him in a match he will give you some."

    • The nightfall has approached briskly, the darkness consumes the island like the eclipse did on the night of Fenrir's return. Behind you a twig snapping, you turn.. nothing..

    • Nar slammed down the broken shield in frustration, splinters of wood flying every which way. "Stupid worthless piles of junk..." He mutters under his breath, before noticing that you're standing there. His lips curled upwards, motioning for you to come closer with a tilt of his head. "These things keep breaking on me. Go and gather some things to fix these up, we cannot have worthless materials like this."

    • Luck favors the prepared and now is the time for us to be ready! We need more weapons, go and retrieve more metal for my forges! If you get me this, I might let you fight alongside me as a true hero. Who knows, the bards may even make songs about you too! Bring 3 metal chunks of any metal to Nar.

    • Nar can be seen hammering away within his forge as you approach, he immediately acknowledges you and steps aside, "Warrior, show me what skill you possess with this mighty creator. Prove you are worthy and I will allow you my favor."

    • Ansuz sits upon the flickering flames, a conversation led by you results in Thurisa requesting you tell her the entire story, all eyes on you.

    • You have been tasked with guiding a group of travelers through the treacherous forests of Jormungandr. How will you keep them from losing their nerve? How will you keep yourself from doing the same? You must prove yourself to be a natural born leader in order to impress the awaiting Nar.

    • While we do not need weapons of war anymore, it does not mean that the skills of the blacksmith have lessened. I need you to locate these items so I can make my delivery. You may locate these items yourself, or purchase/obtain them in any other way.

    • Part of being a warrior is not only winning great battles, but learning respect and discipline to handle those that are lost. I have seen you emerge as a great champion, but now you must demonstrate these essential skills to me. I will be watching.

    • Nar squints suspiciously, looking down his nose at you. "I have my doubts that the warriors of Ulfrheim are up to snuff. Prove yourself worthy by besting another in one-on-one combat."

    • "Bandits have been raiding places on the island. It is past time a stop was put to their actions. One of my helpers have fallen ill, and I need someone to watch my back during combat. Will you travel there with me to help teach them a lesson?"

    • The nights are drawing in and the chilling weather is taking hold of the summer warmth, pelts will come in handy during these times friend, bring me 3 buffalo pelts. I must be certain of their quality so you must hand select from your hoard. Be quick child, winter is coming!

    • Raiders, child! Raiders! They are taking over the local villages we must act immediately. I've located their camp, prepare for battle and let us raid the raiders, friend. Time is of the essence we must hurry!

    • Don't ask me why! I need these teddy bears for... something. Just go fetch them, and don't ask me questions, got it?

    • Nothing says alpha of war quite like skulls. Bring Nar every skull you can find for him to add to his grizzly collection.

    • "I heard some of the enemy troops will be passing through here in a few days. I got the word from a reliable source. Trust me. I want to set a trap for them, bring me back something I can work with!"

    • "Would you have guessed that back in the day I used to raise chickens? An egg for every breakfast, that's what we would tell the kids! Makes you strong. Ah... but it's been a long time since I have had any time to spare. You know what it's like, don't you? Brave adventurer and all that. People to see and places to talk to!" He chuckles at his own joke. "Oh well... perhaps one day I will get to eat fresh eggs again. You never know!"

    • Nar lurks nearby a freshly lit bonfire, brainstorming as he paces amongst the flickering sparks. He turns to you the moment he sees you approaching. "You there, stranger. You're not from around here, are you?" He squints shrewdly at you, the gears in his mind visibly turning. "I require metal bars in order to ensure my battle plans are a success. Do you have any? No? Fetch me some at once!"

    • Ehwaz looks at you with an interested twinkle in his eye. "You look suitable, yes— what would you say to helping us? Fetch me some swords and we will teach you how to fight."

    • Ehwaz gestures you over and his ramblings are not making much sense, he requests you return the following items without a great deal of reason why. Act swiftly!

    Nadhir Clan (Peace)

    Neutral
Lead by the gracious and humble Jera, the Nadhir clan is made up of peaceful and serene green-growers, felvargs passionate about tending to their beautiful land so that it in turn tends to them. Jera and her faithful followers believe there is no need for war, or power, or even knowledge beyond the land they live in; these sins landed her and her clan trapped in the bodies of beasts, afterall! Jera preaches kindness and equality, teaching those who will listen how to grow and nurture the world around them, or how to treat injury and ailment. Nadhir are at peace with who they have become, and live together in perfect harmony, regardless of their physical forms.
    • "Oh, hello there! Say, would you be a dear and gather 5x Blackberries for me? I need them for a pie, but I cannot neglect my duties to find them myself."

    • "Thank goodness you're here! My prized White Cat companion has run off into the woods nearby. Will you please help me find it?"

    • Jera sighs wistfully. "I saw the prettiest pearl necklace at market the other day. If you come across one like it on your travels would you be willing to bring it to me?"

    • "I often think about what Ulfrheim must be like. The next time you explore your favorite locations will you come back and tell me about your adventures?"

    • We have received word that the pups in the Village of Heill are in need of warm winter cloaks. Are you willing to go to the market and buy some for them?

    • "Charity is a virtue too often neglected in this world. Can you prove you have a kind heart by collecting alms for the poor?"

    • "The other royals are often too proud to seek assistance. Please offer your aid to one of them and report back once you've become friendly with one of their clans."

    • "I would love some sweet-smelling flowers to decorate my home with. Will you go into the forest or travel to the market and gather some for me?"

    • "Children are a blessing, and I have heard of a special stone that can heal the sickness of young puppies. Do you think you could locate one for me?"

    • You come across Jera surrounded by a few young felvarg puppies. They are climbing and crawling all over her, but she doesn't seem to mind. When she spots you, she instantly grins. "Do you think you could watch the children for me? I have to run an errand. Maybe tell them a story or teach them something new. Good luck!"

    • A storm is brewing, and you find Jera pacing in a clearing. You can hear puppies whining in the distance, along with distant thunder. "Oh, thank goodness you are here! Do you think you can help me find something soft for the children to cuddle? They get awfully terrified in this weather, and I can't leave them alone for too long."

    • "Ah, welcome!" Kvasis calls you over excitedly from where he is sitting beside the fire with meat roasting over it. "I've just made the most delicious meal. Won't you have a seat and try it? Tell me what you think... Be honest!" You aren't one to turn down a free meal and happily oblige.

    • "I am having some guests come over, and they have requested my famous tea. However, I simply do not have the time to fetch more ingredients. Could you go out and fetch them for me? Don't share it with anyone! This is my secret recipe, Make haste!"

    • "Ahh, why is dye making so hard? Hey you there! You look like you could help a lady out! Could you gather up some berries for me? And some dirt?"

    • You hear the giggling of young puppies, and find Othila overseeing a painting lesson with the little ones! The puppies' paws are covered in paints, and there are various colors strewn about their leather canvases in all shapes and sizes. "Ah, perfect timing!" She says to you as you get closer. "We are running low on art supplies. Do you think you could bring us some more?" You are met with the pleading eyes of the young puppies. How can you say no?

    • You come upon Jera in the smithy, looking rather confused as she gazed at the tools before her. In spotting you, she looks up with a hint of a smile. "I came to assist with fixing up some goods, but I'm afraid I don't understand any of these things. Would you be a dear and gather some things for me, and then come back here to lend me a paw?"

    • "Wool truly is the most versitile fabric out there, I'm telling you." Jera said with a hum, looking up from the pile before her. "I wanted to make a large blanket with these patches of wool, but I seem to be a touch short. If you find any on your travels, please do bring them by!"

    • "Fish are good for aching bones, the fresher the better! They are so full of good oils and fats, you know. You should bring some here, I'll show you what I mean." Jera tosses you a wink, a kind smile on her features. "Not that I'm calling you old, dear."

    • "Would you believe it? Two birds fighting over a stone." Jera scoffed, shaking her head back and forth with a small smile. "How trivial.. but it is imperative we keep the peace among all creatures here in these lands, even a couple of silly birds. Would you please bring another worthles stone back to me so that we may settle this crazy bird fight?"

    • "It seems I have... misplaced... my sunken treasure somewhere off the coast of Jormungandr. Can you retrieve it for me? Make sure that nothing has fallen out, either! You can take this map to help you locate it. Remember, X marks the spot!"

    • The kindness of Jera is not hard to see, and you have been able to witness it yourself. Upon hearing that she likes flowers, you decide to suprise her with the sweetest smelling one you can find. She seems touched at your gift, eyes wide as she gently touched the sprig. "Oh my... you shouldn't have. But thank you, it's so thoughtful of you." she whispered, beaming at you as she accepts your gift.

    • "Woven wolf fur is thought of as a token of good luck by our warriors here. One of mine, however, has misplaced his and is despondent about it. A gift from his mother years ago, it seems. He remembers where he saw it last, are you willing to travel there and look for it?"

    • "I have heard that many humans perished in Ulfrheim. Do you think you could locate some of their remains as well as some items so that I can host a proper burial?"

    • Othila and Kvasis are trying to put a group of young puppies to bed. The puppies are still excitedly playing, and pay no mind to the adults. "Ah, this is no use! I have one last trick up my sleeve, but I need my flute and the soft glow of a lantern. You, there, do you think you can fetch those things for me?" Othila asks you.

    • Jera lies in a bed of flowers off in the distance, looking distraught. Just in front of her paws is is the heart of the flower bed, its roots completely destroyed. Something or someone has clearly dug them up. Perhaps bringing the gentle mother three flowers of any type would cheer her up?

    • Othila looks up from where she seems to be arranging a beautiful bouquet of flowers. She seems pleased to see your reaction. "It is almost complete... I just need a few more flowers to really make it pop! Do you think you could help me?"

    • The overwhelming smell of something delicious cooking brings you to Kvasis' den. A large pot sits over the fire, and Kvasis seems to be tasting from it. He frowns. "No.. no... This isn't quite right!" He turns to you. "Do you think you can help me gather some more ingredients for my stew? I'll be sure to give you a bowl in return!"

    • You come across Jera struggling, jumping and reaching for a berry bush. Round, juicy berries dangle temptingly overhead, but they just can't quite seem to reach them! "Ugh, I can't reach these berries, I'm too short! Give me a paw, why don't you?"

    • "Othila and I have a ritual where we deliver each other very specific items each year, but unfortunately I cannot attend it this time around. I would hate to see her disappointed by this though, so please find and deliver these items to her. She'll know what it's about!" Jera urges you on your way, waving you off with a smile.

    • Jera looks distraught as she sits at the base of a shrine, head bowed as breaths of wind blowed around her. Without saying a word, you sit at her side, gently leaning against her. You both sit silently for a moment, until finally Jera looks up at you with a weak smile. "The storm tore this alter apart, ripped it to pieces. It will take awhile to put back together." With a sigh she walked off, and you knew that you needed to fix this for her. Waiting until Jera was out of sight, you got back to work to fix the shrine.

    • You find Jera scrambling around her hut, frantically trying to get various items in check as she held a list tightly between her teeth. When she noticed that you were standing in her doorway, she immediately rushed over to you with a look in her eye that could only spell out trouble. "You, I need your help. We are having the great feast in only a matter of hours and nobody informed me that we were missing items! I need these as soon as possible."

    • "I need to gather herbs and materials used for treating the sick, but the places that they are located tend to be particularly dangerous. Do you think you could come with me and offer protection?"

    • "Oho, friend! Come over here a moment. I'm in a bit of a pickle, you see. We are having a celebratory feast in Village of Helli and one of the men, er-- vargs, in charge of supplies, he never showed up. I would be in your debt if you bring me something tasty to cook up before the crowd starts turning antsy. You'll be the guest of honor if you have my back here, I'll make sure of it!"

    • "Is there anything better than a good pumpkin pie? No, no, you won't convince me otherwise! I can prove it. Fetch me a nice looking pie from the market, and we'll share it together. The best that money can pie! Heh, I mean "buy"."

    • "Friend, you have not lived until you have sampled a redcurrant. Oh, you've tried them?" She briefly pouts, but her eyes are nevertheless twinkling. "You are not made to wait long to find out why. If they're common in Ulfrheim too, would you be up for bringing me some next time you visit?"

    • Its always good to take care of ones self.Depict your felvarg showing Jera how they personally destress.

    • Giving respect to those who have past is an essential part of the Nadhir culture. It is said that past spirits can often guard you from harm and so it is imperative that you give thanks. Depict your Felvarg helping to decorate the grave of a Felvarg who has passed.

    • It's important to raise the next generation right. Depict your felvarg inspiring the next generation by telling them a story or by showing off a special skill!

    • Keeping the peace isnt always easy, depict your felvarg having to make the hard choice or maybe do something not peaceful to keep the peace.

    • Its spring and the critters of the forest need a home! Help Jera build them shelters by bringing back some resources.

    Visindi Clan (Knowledge)

    Neutral
Lead by the supremely intelligent and sharp-willed Forvitni, the Visindi clan believe the key to controlling the world itself is raw knowledge. If there is something to be learned, Forvitni will find a way through whatever means necessary, supported by his faithful and strong willed followers. Visindi believe knowledge above all else is the most powerful attribute, above war, peace and power respectively. They believe themself supreme beings with a dangerous lust to learn more, and more. Forvitni plans to lead his clan to Ulfrheim where he believes his superior knowledge of the world will make him a king amongst kings, that all 'dirty natives' on the motherland will bow before his intelligence. He is not well received by the other clans.
    • "What do you think of Jormungandr, dear? It is a dangerous place, to be sure, but also full of beauty. I am a great lover of poetry. Will you write me a poem about the island?"

    • "You have been here for some time now, yes?" Forvitni asked, raising a brow as the two of you sat within his hut. "Just how much do you truly know about our island? Please, do tell." At your shifty expression, the male lets out a hearty chuckle. "Go visit our lands, and then come back to me with what you have learned."

    • "Terrible weather outside, yet again. Hmmph. Well, don't just stand there. How about a good fishing tale, hmm? Better yet, tell me about your journey from Ulfrheim. That has got to be good."

    • "Ugh, they just do not make blacksmith's hammers like they used to. If you come by an ancient nordic hammer, properly made and still in good condition, I would be in your debt."

    • "It has been far too long since I went on a proper fishing trip. Fetch some lures and meet me at the docks. I want to see what you are made of, outsider."

    • "When that damned Loki cast that spell on us, I lost all of my usual gear! Ever since then, I haven't been able to sustain myself properly, nor burn off my steam. And I don't care much for lingering with crowds either, so don't go suggesting that I make new friends. Pick up the following items for me so I can get back to what I do best; Fishing."

    • Mani Mani groans, rubbing at one of his joints with his paw. "Storm's coming. This winter will be brutal, I can tell already. The aches and pains never lie. I would like to assemble a cloak of sorts to prepare. Of course, I've no time to run about and chase things, so it'd be great if you could get some hides for me. You can hunt, can't you?"

    • "Hello child, tonight is the night. We will explore uncharted caves on the island. However, like I say, it is night.. Do us a favor and fetch us some lanterns to light the way. Be swift child, we have not but a few hours before we embark."

    • "We have heard of the fossils that can be found within the caves of Ulfrheim, and wish to learn more about these things." Mani Mani muttered, looking up at you from the book he currently had his nose it. "Can you bring me some, please? We would like to learn what we can while this opportunity is presented to us."

    • A resounding crash sounds from nearby. Turning toward it, you see Forvotni covered in what looks to be... a thick coating of dust? "Curses!" he bellows, trying to brush the stuff off of himself. Noticing you, he scowls. "Don't just stand there! Can't you see my experiment is in ruins? If you're done gawking, why don't you make yourself useful by finding me some new ritual skulls to examine? You will know them by the markings painted upon their surface. Go on, then! You might just learn something new during your search."

    • "You there! Come closer." Forvitni becons you over, a stressed crease between his brows. "An illness has been plaguing a clan member for weeks now with no cure in sight. I have been studying these runes for days and believe them to describe a solution, but even after my best effort I have hit a wall in fully deciphering them. There are many long lost texts on this island. If you can find some samples for me to cross-reference, I would be in your debt."

    • Forvitni is fussing over some netting and small chunks of meat. He moves his paws very meticulously, and you can tell this is not the first time he has done this. "Aye, you there, are you familiar with these traps? I can show you if you'd like."

    • Forvitni appears to be speaking aloud to no one in particular as you make your way toward him. "And, as all things should be, we find balance in nature. Isn't that true?" He turns to look right at you, and you didn't even know he knew you were there! You agree. "Find me something that demonstrates this, and I will know that you understand the true meaning of my words."

    • Knowledge is key, and with it an offering to the gods is necessary. Locate 3 different flowers or plants from the island of Jormungandr (e.g. bluebell, asters, sprig of lavender, raspberries etc.).

    • "The spirits are angry today," Forvitni murmurs, looking toward an increasingly stormy horizon. Turning to you, he sighs. "There is a ritual we could perform to try and appease them. Will you gather five Spirit Shakers for me? Please, we must hurry!"

    • "Child, I have a proposal to you," You hear Mani Mani ask as he comes closer to you. His posture remains calm yet something in his gaze makes him appear curious, almost excited as he continues. "I am in need of Agates. I have gathered many yet these three seem to be elusive of me. would you find me these three?"

    • The humans have left these parts and yet some of that heritage remains right here in Jormungand. You have heard some of the residents here still hold close their human memories, some being restless and angry about the turn of events, others simply feeling nostalgic as the old items and customs spring to their minds. Mani Mani especially has lately come to terms with his memories and only wishes to glance upon some items thought to be lost for good.

    • "Even though I no longer am in my true form, it doesn't mean that I have lost faith in the spirits or Gods around me. I know that they still hear my voice... they have to. Please bring me back the following items on this list here. Oh, and make sure that you collect the sage at night--that is when the leaves are at their finest and most useful to me."

    • "I'm extremely interested in the past forms of life from your island, Ulfrheim. However, I cannot travel there myself to investigate these artifacts. In order to gain the insight that I need into their lives, I need you to pick up a few items for me. Go, quickly now!"

    • "You look like you've got good taste, friend. Surely you know that the best soup stock is made with bones! Every bit of food has a use when it comes to cooking. Say, if you've got a moment, why don't you gather some fish bones with me and stay for dinner?"

    • "So, you've returned!" Mani Mani is distracted as he speaks to you, busy messing around with his latest experiment. "Hey, it's a good thing you're here, actually. I'll let you in on a little secret, friend." You aren't so sure you like the way he says 'friend', but you decide to stick around and hear him out. "There's this alchemical trick where you can turn bloodstone into actual blood. Or... something like blood. It's close enough! There are medical applications, I assure you. Ha! Just look at your face. I see you doubting me. Well. Go fetch me some bloodstone, and I'll prove it to you."

    • "You know, the people of Jormungandr would be faster to trust you if you put some effort into learning the lay of the land." Mani Mani looks at you knowingly. "Humor me for a bit, will you? I would like you to travel the island. Meet people. And put together a little map of where you've gone. Bring the finished map back to me when you are done... and perhaps a good story, too?"

    • Sitting around a fire with you one night, Mani Mani gets an adventurous spark in his eyes. "You know, many ships have wrecked off the coast of Jormungandr. Deep beneath the waves lie hidden the secrets of a past era..." He becomes a bit wistful. "Say, if I were to organize a few diving trips, would you accompany me sometime? I suspect we would learn a great deal."

    • "Oho, you've been holding out on me, haven't you?" Skelmir squints at you, leveling an accusatory claw to point at your face. "I heard from another Ulfrheim-born that the witch Hel has a spellbook filled to the brim with all sorts of delectable secrets. Just lying around in some cave called Helheim's Gate! Hmmph. I insist you go there and snatch it for me so that I can take a peek. Oh c'mon, you can give it back afterwards!"

    • "The sages speak of a strange raven with the ability of speech who makes his home deep within the forests of Spirits. If you answer his riddle, he may grant you a boon." Mani Mani sighs. "I am in dire need of such a thing, but cannot neglect my duties for the length of time it would take to travel to the forest. If you can, will you find this raven and convince him to accompany you back to speak with me?"

    • Forvitni unceremoniously thrusts a potion at your felvarg's paws. "You fancy yourself a brave adventurer, don't you? Why don't we put that to the test? I've brewed this special potion, and want you to give it a try." When you hesitate, he rolls his eyes theatrically. "It's not going to kill you. Who would I get to run my errands for me if you were gone?" He laughs, clearly at your expense. "C'mon, it'll just give you some... interesting visions."

    • You come across Mani Mani in the village library, nose-deep in a book. Just as you pass the library's entrance, the titan calls out for you. "Traveller!" Mani waits for you to reappear, then goes on: "You think you know this island by now, don't you? Find the missing pages to complete these four historical books and I will teach you the history of what was long ago forgotten."

    • The hunters on this island are so dense. They use up way too much energy! My mother used to always say "Give a felvarg a rabbit and he will eat for a day, teach a felvarg how to make a rabbit trap and he will eat for a lifetime!"

    • You can really learn a lot of history from dirt! Did you know, there are different levels of dirt such as topsoil, subsoil, regolith and bedrock! Did you also know that some of this soil hides many secrets? Here, bring me some and I will show you!

    • "Knowledge is power, especially when it gives you an advantage over your foes. Help Mani-Mani learn all there is to know about Ulfrheim by bringing him an item from each regular group activity and a map of the island itself."

    • Forvitni calls you over, "Do you know what I find so curious? Why is it the Felvargs of Ulfrheim never left the island? Is it the waters of Hongerige? Is it poisoned?" He pauses to look out into the great waves, "Locate 10 items from me, from deep within its clutches, maybe I can study and understand them more."

    • "I have been told that there is a healing attribute to some of the native plants of your lands. Bring them to me so that I can learn all I can from this theory. If they truly do heal, well, that is just extraordinary, isnt it?"

    • Forvitni speculates under his breath before he finally speaks to you, "This queen you all speak of? Who is she? Return me a single amulet of the queen so I can examine it. Your leader is an imposture, she does not even exist!"

    • Depict your Felvarg and Forvitni meditating together, with 3x Handmade Incense in your cache. What images cross your mind, or what struggles of your past come to the surface?

    • Songs often tell stories of the past. Bring your own set of instruments to play Mani-Mani a song they believe has base in their history, so he might learn from it.

    • "My books of the ancient war are lacking, despite being full of tales and records. I know what I need.. sources from you wolves. It would help me to understand how your Island came to be, these objects should allow me to see it for myself."

    • "Mani Mani's favorite family recipe has been lost to time." Mani Mani sits beside you, for once without his nose buried in a book. "Think the two of us are smart enough to recreate it, secret ingredient and all? Bring me some food items and we will try some things out. Nothing like a little trial and error, eh?"

    • Forvitni huffs and grunts as he angrily searches his belongings. "You there! Thieves have been through here and they've taken important documents for my next experiment!" He growls under his breath before spreading out a stack of papers "It's pages! Pages that look just like this! Go! What are you waiting for? Track them down, find my belongings!"

    • "Ho there, friend! I need you to bring me a wolf. Any old wolf will do, as long as you bring it here alive. I need to study the less obvious differences between the common beast and the felvarg, and I have no time to be running around snatching creatures out of the forest." Mani Mani smiles at you, a teasing glint in his gaze. "C'mon, you aren't worried it'll outsmart you, right?"

    • "Have you ever wondered how the fish differ from island to island? I have, word has it the fish here are more intelligent, I'd like you to test that theory friend."

    Setja Clan (Power)

    Neutral
Lead by the inhumanely strong and savage Starkir, the Setja clan are viewed as heretics and 'God-defilers' by the rest of Jormungandr for their magic practising. The Felvargs of Setja believe in themselves over all others, shunning Loki and Fenrir as 'false gods' for what they believe to be heinous crimes against their people. They explore all outlets to dispell the blood curse and return themselves to their true form. Starkir's following is the largest of all on Jormungandr by far, with converts from the three other clans mystified by his powers of sorcery and magic. Starkir is not alone in his talents, and the other clans have noticed a startling rise in the number of magic practising felvargs on Jormungandr. They are widely feared and avoided.
    • "What are you doing here in my territory? Just passing by you say? Unacceptable! If you want to pass you must bring me a toll, and not just anything will do. Bring me a chunk of silver ore and a chunk of iron or and I will consider letting you pass."

    • You stumble into Bleza, nearly quite literally. She is laying on the ground in her hut, muttering things under her breath. She's not really acting like herself, and that's when you notice the empty bottles at her side. Oh great, drunk. Mani Mani sent you here to collect something from her, but that's not exactly going to work if she's out cold, nor would Mani find this impressive. "Is cold, yur lettin' in da col'." She mutters at you, and you scramble out to find something to rouse her.

    • "Well, well, look who it is. Come here, I want to show you something." Bleza reveals an intricate, somewhat disturbing diagram for an invention she has thought up. "I just need a few good nets and it will be perfect! Can you find some for me?"

    • "You look like you want something from me. Tsk. Why should I give you anything? Show me you are worth my time by participating in Capture the Flag. Go on! Surely with your confidence you can outsmart some of the others."

    • "I might be smart enough to win any contest on my own, but sometimes it is just fun to win by underhanded means. I want to participate in some upcoming competitions and need a few things to make sure it goes juuuust right..."

    • You walk into Bleza's hut, seeing her standing beside a table of hooks and barbs. She glances up at you with a frown, you have clearly broken her focus. "Well, while you have my attention I might as well get your help. I'm trying to help invent a better hook now that metal is harder to deal with. Bring me any sharp objects that you think may help me."

    • "Some of the guards in Festa are in need of fresh equipment. Only the sturdiest will do; these are our protectors, after all. Purchase the following from the market next time you are there." She offers you a list written in neat, orderly runes.

    • You think of yourself as an accomplished adventurer, hmm? Go on a few noble quests, tell me about them, and we shall see.

    • "I hear you have fought many a bear over in Ulfrheim. I believe ours in Jormungandr to be far mightier. You think you can prove me wrong? I will be the judge of that. Collect two bear skulls from your favorite location in Ulfrheim and bring them back to me, and we shall compare their sizes."

    • "Thank the gods you are here. I have heard tell that a phoenix has shed her feathers to the north, in Mount Vita. Can you imagine what will happen if a witch gets their paws on those? Please, collect them before one does."

    • "Do you have what is takes to survive on this island? You can't rely on anyone but yourself out here. Prove to me you are resourceful enough to survive on your own. Leave your belongings with me and set off on your own."

    • "My dreams since my younger years have been filled with forge fires, the sharp screech of metal on metal, and the smell of melted gold. I envision Fenrir and Loki fighting for my skillfully crafted swords and armor-- what dreams they are, indeed! The day has come that I am destined to fulfill those desires. Sadly, I have none of the tool to start out. Could you bring me a great anvil and blacksmith's hammer? When I am a famous 'smith, I will reward you tenfold!"

    • "Hey you, traveler! Over here. Up ahead there is a cave, deep within its winding caverns there is a merchant with an item I desire more than anything. The price? 2 rusty stinkin' coins, what is a rusty coin anyways? Fetch me some at once, please make haste!"

    • Starkir and Bleza are sparring when you approach. Starkir has just barely managed to pin Bleza for the win. He cheers triumphantly and shouts toward you. "Are you next?" Perhaps if you put up a good fight you'll earn some respect from him.

    • You come upon Starkir standing deep within a power, inspecting a shrine of some sort. There is a glow radiating from the shrine's center, and a faint hum is audible in the air. The pulsing makes you vaguely sleepy. When he notices you, he gestures to several carvings on the altar's surface. "I believe this to be a place of power, but some components seem to be needed to unlock its magic. Look here." You peer closer to the shrine and see several carvings: berries, a bison skull, an axe, and an owl. Starkir pulls back, drawing you with him. "Find me these items, and hurry back!"

    • Starkir looks bored, resting his head on his paws lackadaisically. "It's been such a slow day today, hasn't it? Hmm. I have an idea. You wish to prove yourself capable, do you not? Make an impression, gain prestige? I propose a little competition between you and I." He stands, grinning. "If you can outsmart me at a task of your choosing, I think you'd certainly gain the admiration of those who follow me."

    • Starkir ushers you off to the side during dinner, apparently wanting to have a private conversation. "I've heard tell that Nar's clan has abandoned a mine we have long been in dispute over. I need someone to look inside and see if there are any riches they happened to miss. If the mine is still viable, we can claim it and gain an economic foothold in a part of Jormungandr we have had our sights set upon for decades. What say you?"

    • At his request, you accompany Starkir to the site of the village's burial mounds. There he lays out the customary offering, but afterwards he frowns. "Those who honor their ancestors are said to be able to summon them for advice on important political matters. We could truly use that advice now to gain an edge over the other clans... but is it possible?" He falls into silence, then turns to you. "Bring me a bundle of spirit shakers, friend. I wish to put an idea to the test."

    • Over drinks, Starkir has been joking and laughing with you long through the night. Toward the end of the evening, however, he grows more serious. "If you really are trying to gain fame in this region, you must make an impression on the more remote settlements as well as the big towns. Travel there and get to know the locals. Show them what you're about, and they will surely spread tales of your name far and wide."

    • Starkir scowls, staring down at a parchment as if trying to set it ablaze with ire alone. "I swear, the bickering of these clansmen will be the death of me." Noticing you, he sighs. "I have a task for you, if you're willing. Not a glamorous one. My clansman's daughter is to be wed. The union is important to our clan -- it will bring peace to two towns which have been feuding for many moons. The only trouble is, there's no one to deliver the girl's dowry. I know, I know. You didn't come here to be a delivery-varg, did you? Well, being a leader isn't all pomp and circumstance." The alpha fixes you with a stony look. "The dowry is a herd of sheep. Wrangle them across the island yourself or use your influence to convince some sorry sap to do it under your supervision."

    • Starkir summons you to his den, where strewn about are what look to be a number of fairy tale books. He follows your line of sight and shrugs. "I know what you're thinking, but there's more to it than this. Sightings off the coast confirm that there is... something in the water. A giant sea serpent, they say. These tales might have been written for children, but there is some truth to such old stories. Anyone who brings back the head of this serpent would be glorified through the ages. Even if you don't believe me, will you go to look for signs of this serpent's existence?"

    • "You have been making quite a name for yourself," Starkir hums, regarding you from the end of a long table. Several documents are spread out before him. "I have a task in mind which will further cement your reputation in this area. A town in the middle of Jormungandr is in need of an industry. I want you to choose which they will focus upon: medicine, food, or weaponry. Whatever you end up picking, bring me some supplies from the industry you have in mind to help get them on their feet."

    • Starkir is in a hushed discussion with several occult-looking felvargs when you arrive to meet her. Seeing you, the others rush away. Starkir approaches after a moment. "The mages tell me an amulet in Nar's possession is... unique. It looks like a typical Amulet of the Queen, but is much, much more powerful. I need you to acquire this amulet for me, along with a second one, the sort you can buy at any market. We will compare the two and find the truth of it."

    • Starkir appears to be looking at a roster of some sort. He glances up at you, then puts the paper down. "Ah, you're here. Listen well. So far you have been accomplishing great things on your own, but without support you will never reach your goals. You must understand that power is not an island. Team up with another adventurer to accomplish a task of your choosing. Make them your ally in this, to show you are capable of working with others as well as you can work alone."

    • You meet Starkir in a stone chamber hidden beneath a heavy trap door, as instructed. Inside is a torch-lit room, where the alpha stands wearing a dark, hooded cloak. Wondering what you are in for, you nevertheless approach. "I need you for a mission of some delicacy. We require information on the other clans in order to stay one step ahead of them, but they are reluctant to speak to those they know are aligned with us. I want you to do one task for each of the other clan leaders. Earn a bit of their trust. Then, report back to me with some proof of what you have learned."

    • Starkir has invited you to walk through the woods. There you trot side by side, inspecting various traps the hunters have laid out. "Bah. Nothing again. The hunters claim it is just a bad season, but I have a feeling that it's the traps themselves that are faulty. The fur trade is very profitable here in Jormungandr. If we can get a leg up ahead of the other clans by inventing superior traps, I doubt they will be able to match our profits for years to come. Do you think you have it in you to come up with something new to help the clan?"

    • Bleza is in a terrible mood, that much is clear as soon as you enter her longhouse. You have to dodge out of the way to narrowly avoid being struck by a flung goblet. Seeing you, she calms incrementally. "Starkir has made a fool of me for the last time. I need to teach him a lesson, but I cannot leave my hold. Please, travel to his lands and challenge him to a duel. I want him to be shamed in front of his own advisers, so they can see how weak he truly is."

    • Starkir is unable meet with you face-to-face, but has sent an encrypted message to you by bird. It reads: "We have received word that Nar's spies are lurking in the woods above the beaches. I wish to turn the tables on them. Find the spies and spy on them -- figure out their next move so that we can take Nar by surprise and come out one step ahead of him."

    • Starkir, usually quite level-headed, seems a bit flustered when you come to meet him. He is checking and double checking the lists laid out on the table before him, and doesn't even slow down when you stand nearby. "The peasants are getting rowdy again. Normally when this happens we have a big feast to distract them while we make political change, but we're running short on supplies for such an event." Finally, he meets your eyes, a list clutched between his claws. "I need you to take the lead on this. Organize the event, if you are up for the challenge. But first, we need these items to even get started."

    • Yet again, Starkir is wandering the woods at night and has asked you to join him. This time he is carrying a number of strange items with him. "The pursuit of power is not always smooth-sailing, you know." He begins to lay out the items in a ritual circle. "I seek to summon a spirit for aid. If we are lucky, it will bless us with a boon from the Great Father's feasting halls. Hmm... but I'm missing something. You should be able to find it in the woods here. Collect some Wild Poppies and bring them back. Hurry now! We must finish before sunrise."

    • Starkir is more stern-looking than usual when you come to meet him. There are a suspicious number of guards gathered around him, too. When you're close enough, they close in behind you and bar your escape. "I have received word from one of the other clans that you are a wanted criminal. What say you? Tell me now, why shouldn't I throw you straight into the dungeons?"

    • Nar has promised us his political support in an upcoming gathering, so long as we bring him a delivery of certain supplies." Starkir is rummaging in the longhouse's storage area, but seems frustrated. "We have a number of the things he has requested, but others..." He trails off, meeting your eyes. "If you would gather these items and deliver them to his clan's hold, we would be in your debt."

    • You hear Starkir laughing even before you crack open the door and approach. He wipes his eyes when you enter the room, trying to regain his composure. "You're here, good. I had something else in mind for you, but there have been some... new developments. Instead of what was originally planned, I want you to break into Jera's quarters and steal her Elixir of Lust. Oh, I know it's in there. We've been trying to get some leverage on her for ages, and thought she had a spotless record for all this time. Well. Now we'll have some blackmail material." The arctic grins, obviously still amused.

    • What exactly is a wisp? Could you catch one and bring it here so that I may study its magical properties? Bring

    • There is great knowledge in the past however, felvargs typically take it to their grave. Help me build a device so that I may contact them and fill in the blanks about the past.

    • Your Felvarg consumed a random potion it found laying in the woods, why would you do that? Who knows? Explain the dream or experience.

    • My spells/rituals have been failing a lot lately, rumor has it there is a magical beast in the woods that with its very presence can guarantee the success of any experiment. Well, what are you waiting for? Go find it!

    • Spells seemed to have... backfired on one of the lesser prey animals native to the island, and you are requested to seek it out in order to learn from it or put a stop to it.

    • Depict the aftermath of a 1v1 match after the results have been rolled. How did your felvarg fair? Did they win gracefully or are they salty about their loss?

    • Its time to gear up for war friend. Locate one of every bear pelt and return it to me quickly so that we can stitch them into fine wear for our fighters. Be swift!
